I would think Couturier is ahead of Schenn at this point. Considering Schenn hasn't made much of an impact in the NHL yet and Couturier is already Laviolette's favorite penalty killer as an 18 year old. - GOODPLAYA20
I actually like Couturier slightly better than Schenn as well, but I just assume the "Brothers Schenn" thing the Flyers have created would protect Brayden. My main point is that Ryan is a proven top-line forward in his prime - and taking a package of useful but not top-line players for him would be bad business..... |

Not necessarily. The whole point of trading him is to get more depth. If you could get guys like Read and Voracek plus a little more, you've acquired more depth. It's just making sure the depth isn't just a bunch of scrubs and they're actually gonna be big contributors for you team. |

Luongo will cost too much. Leafs dont have the prospects to give away.Leave him to FLA. Leafs should get Theodore. He's been quietley solid the last couple of years, and would be a solid tandem with Reimer. |

It is true, but look at the roster he had in front of him. His save percentage was pretty good considering the amount of shots he faced. - fiveandagame
It was also SIX years ago. |

This is why NTC/NMC so severely ties the hands of those that own player assets. Otherwise it would be Nash for Luongo and both teams would be satisfied. |

People don't want to go to Toronto and Burke is the reason. Ownership should grow a pair and fire him. Players may want to return finally.

Both of those teams were better than he ever played with six to nine years ago, so, I stand by my post. |

LOL no they wouldnt. even if luongo and nash didnt have NTC, and were both dying to play for the other team, vancouver would have to add much more. |

Best response to Cam's interview: "I wonder what he does when guys skate by and chirp him while he's in the press box? "I'm gonna hurt you my next shift whenever that is!" |

I agree. I was responding to the post the said Luongo couldn't single handly get the Panthers into the playoffs when he was there . My response was that those Florida teams were terrible and Luongo still put up good numbers |

Voracek, Read, Bourdon AND picks for Ryan?!! Are you high?!!! I honestly wouldn't trade Voracek strait-up for Ryan at this point. Who cares that he is from Cherry Hill? Big deal! YOU DON'T GIVE UP MULTIPLE GOOD YOUNG PLAYERS FOR 1 GOOD YOUNG PLAYER WHO HAS UNDERACHIEVED, IMO, ESPECIALLY IF TWO OF THE GUYS YOU ARE GIVING UP HAVE TO POTENTIAL TO BE AT LEAST AS GOOD, IF NOT BETTER, THAN THE PLAYER YOU ARE GETTING IN RETURN. What has Bobby Ryan ever won? Where are his gold medals? If Holmgren pays this price or something similar for Bobby Ryan, I'm done watching them! - C-Vac

Sorry, but Nash straight up for Luongo? What are you smoking? The only thing equal about a trade like that would be contract size. Even then Columbus would be getting the short end of the stick with an extra 3 years of an elderly Roberto Luongo.. |

Selanne has said he wont return to the Ducks if they are going in rebuild mode.
With strong drafts since 2008 and getting Sbisa + picks for Pronger they have the depth scorers likely to make the team (Palmieri, Etem). They dont need spare parts.
Ryan looks like he'll stay since Philly doesnt seem to want to give up Couturier. |
