All those years in Florida he never singlehandedly made them a playoff threat. Not once. - viper488
Sounds like the entire Leafs roster. |

Theres no way Minnesota is trading Heatley at this point unless they get a young 1-6 impact player in return for a lot less than what Heaters making.
It's just not going to happen. I highly doubt Chuck Fletcher and owner Craig Leipold are going to sell this guy on the signings of Parise and Suter, ask him to reach out to one or both and help convince them to come here and in turn move him. I could see if the Wild desperately needed the cap space, and didn't already have a multiple 50+ goal per year scorer. Yeah, then I could see them moving him.
But unless they are receiving offers that they just can't refuse, highly doubt it. Besides, Heatley has the final say in any trade regardless... - MnGump
I agree with you, they should keep Heatley with the new additions and hope he gets rejuvenated and his numbers go up. You need him this year to really make a deep playoff run. The Wild do need an upgrade besides Suter on defense though.

Ill get started on this rumor.
Bernier says he wants to be traded fom the Kings. He has expressed his desire to play for a team that is closer to home. I would put TOR and Ottawa at the top of the list considering Carey Price just resigned in MTL.
(Bernier also expressed a desire to play "closer to home," TVA Sports reported.)

What dumb deals has Burke made? Not looking to start a Kessel debate either..just wondering what you consider to be a dumb move - Dee13
He signed Komisarek....other than that and obviously the Kessel deal (IMO) he's made some nice moves.

What about Edmonton for a Paajarvi and one of their top defensive prospects?

It is. Nonis was the one who traded for him in the first place. |

That's karma for you. Circumvent the cap, then blame someone else when they have outlived their usefulness. Unfortunately too many GMs are to blame. |

i'll give you that with komi but at the time was it really that bad (salary yes, but as a player?) he didnt live up to anyone's expectations but that's a Komi thing not a Burkie thing...evey team has players that don't pan out...- imo the kessel deal isnt a bad one...but lets leave that one alone...lol |

Is it just me or am I the only one that thinks Paajarvi sucks. Maybe it's just his dumb face...seriously, not trying to hate on the Oilers here, but how much value can he possibly have...
I wouldn't give up a third rounder for him. |

It is true, but look at the roster he had in front of him. His save percentage was pretty good considering the amount of shots he faced. |

To Col: Marc Staal
To NYR: Paul Stastny
The rangers have so much depth on defense Staal can be moved. Seems like everyone in Denver hates Stastny so I would imagine he would be moved for a top 4 defenseman. Colorado needs defense The rangers need offense. It's a hockey trade. Then the Rangers should take a chance and sign Semin. 1 year 7.7m
Semin Richards Callahan
Krieder Stepan Gaborik
Dubinsky Stastny Hagelin
Boyle Anisimov Pyatt
And we also have Rupp, Asham and Halpern. - nfabz
you wanna trade for a $6.6M million center and put him on the 3rd line? bumping a guy who's much better suited for the role to wing (Dub) and trade away your best D-man to get him?
that's same fine GM'ing... |
