Never win? Ever?
Toronto Raptors had more wins than the Vancouver Grizzlies last year...
Leafs have won, you should see the 13 Stanley Cup banners hanging at the ACC...how many are hanging in Vancouver?

Good call...leafs haven't won sh!t, since hockey has been played in the west Which we can only assume 1 thing, and that is that if the leafs won 13 cups back then we would have won 26 any idiot could of won a cup only having to beat 5 teams...no word of a lie, I think I read somewhere that the Canadian special Olympic hockey team won a cup back In those days.

Someone about a month back had a brilliant post on how there was the NHL (east coast league) and then the WHL (west coast league) and then with expansion ect. the WHL basically just joined the NHL and fell under the name "National Hockey League" basically wiping out any WHL accomplishments even though the talent level was comaparable. I am probably butchering the post but it was a great explaination of how all the cups won pre expantion were basically for the winning team on the east coast.

Exactly.....the west wasn't allowed to play for it, because it wouldn't have been won very often out east

I posted that about a month ago and showed how Vacouver was dominating in the West and someone I think it was Hank said if the East joined the West and played for a different named cup TOR would have none and we would have 6 .

Let them boast in their glory.

They hang on to that tidbit of history like a drowning man hangs onto a lifejacket.
no wonder they are the laughingstock of the NHL.

But one has to admire their blind loyalty. A trait only seen in German Sheppards.

Thanks, it was an awesome explanation. I don't think the WHL is talked about out east.

The NHL East coast league thought it was the best in the world and didn't think Hockey existed anywhere else in the world .They had the surprise of their life when the NHL All Stars faced the Russians in the Summit series. Bobby Clark took out their best player with an intentional slash across the ankles to take him out of the series.

21 of Torontos 30 roster players were from ONtario ,3 from Que and the rest from three other provinces in Canada. It was an East coast league ,no matter what they say.

This is a good read about the Millionaires and the WCL and PCHA

Just wish you wouldn't throw stones at the hornets nest with the blue maple leaf on it, especially when school is out, they buzz around here for hours in seems.

It's just so boring, same crap different colour, other threads have much more humour. Plus there's no (frank)ing Hockey, and F1 is only every 2 weeks.

Dont worry. It happens every year. Oilers and Leafs fans come in here in the summer and start trolling that we've never won a cup and that our window is closing and we have a team full of divers and they ruin the game. Than November rolls around they disappear. They realize how sh*t their organizations are again.
