You seem to have a reading disability of some sort, but maybe saying this again will help:
As a measure of success for a team, winning some playoff games, or the President's Trophy, means squat next to the Cup.
Yes, team owners certainly value making money. Yes, Canucks fans undoubtedly feel that their team has been successful over the last few seasons with deep playoff runs. But that's not what I'm disputing, no matter how many times you miss it.
Describe to me one instance in which a team would rather win just a few playoff games, or would rather win the President's Trophy, instead of the Stanley Cup. You can't do it. And that's been my argument the whole time. Of course I'm "just another a-hole with an opinion," the same as you. But I still don't see any scenario in which a handful of playoff wins or a President's Trophy are more valuable than the Stanley Cup - certainly not to fan morale, and not to a team's bottom line. - tryan83
You're asking the wrong person. Of course winning the Stanley Cup is the top prize. Never disputed that. What I have a problem with is TOR fans saying that the canuck's season was just as successful as the Leafs because neither won the cup. Or that nothing matters but the cup, which is not true (hence my comment about a paying customer). That is what I'm disputing.
So if reading comprehension is being questioned then I would look in the mirror if I was you.

Don't think anyone's disputing that. Of course if you ask, "which would you prefer?", we'd all pick the SC. I'm not even sure why that needs to spelled out.
What Mosquito is saying is that the SC is not the only measure to gauge if a team has had a successful season or not. I'm not trying to put words in your mouth but if you're saying the only thing worth anything for a team is to win the cup or the season has been a flat out failure, that would indicate that 29 teams should hold their heads down in abject shame every single season. This is nonsense. - AlexF
Thank you! I don't think it's that hard a concept to grasp. Don't know why I spend time on these trolls. |

Yes. And that's exactly what we were discussing. |

Thanks Newton. You proved nothing but my point. If you also read his other posts right after you'd notice the conversation about his point. Just because you are dense and he said something different in your empty head doesn't mean that's what he posted. - Bozzy
Actually he said exactly what mosquito is saying he said. Just because you understood it differently doesn't change what he said. |

So......I hear they're gonna try JVR at centre—in fact, I think it's being discussed over on Augello's blog, as we speak.... - Fosco
Why would he go over there. Over here we talk about NHL hockey, over there they talk about maple leaf hockey/Jr C hockey |

This dialogue is getting really old. Why are you even in here if you have nothing productive to add to the conversation? - Chest Rockwell
Same reason you are...
I responded to another guys post, that is why that dialogue was brought up yet again... |

You can't get mad mosquito. I think its like when your kid is 2, and keeps asking "but why?" To everything. You continue to answer hoping the little fella/lady will begin to learn. Now granted most 2 yr old have a stronger grasp of reality then our leaf fan trolls, you see my point.
Case in point. Ian clearly made the Burke comments to get the leafs fans attention towards his charity. But being the half wits they are, they are unable to grasp this. Instead they come on here, running their mouths like always and missing the point - Bieksa#3
Go back and look at the start of the thread...no Leaf fan said anything about Ian's title...it was a Canuck fan that ripped on Burke on page1 that started things up...
I actually thought putting Burke in his blog/title was a clever way to get more attention... |

Uh... except for Dreamblue on page 3...
Ian I don't care if Burke sucks or doesn't suck - if you need to get hits to make it look like someone actually cares about reading your garbage. Here are some topics that will land you tons of hits.
How Vancouver goes limp when it comes to the Playoffs!
Vancouver Canucks 2012 Olympic Diving Team Tryouts
How Cindy Crosby is more man than the Vancouver Canucks Twins
....
I could keep this up all day long ... but my point is, find another way to get your readers. - Dreamblue |

Can we find something hockey related to discuss? Wolski went for peanuts. I wonder if he'll be the steal of free agency. |

Meh, I have mixed feelings about that. Sure peanuts are tasty, but all that salt just makes me thirsty and I end up drinking way too much beer, which dehydrates me even more, and coupled with this heat...naw...peanuts are a bad idea.
Wolski should just go for ice team instead.
Edit: I'm (frank)ing bored. Wish Doan would just sign somewhere already, and Gillis would just trade Luongo. |

Bozak is on the Canucks... so Bozzy is now a Canucks fan and Mason Raymond has a new friend in the dog house. |
