Odd, because government filings with the SEC say that Romney didn't leave Bain until 2001. A financial disclosure form Romney filed in 2003 stated that he was the full owner of Bain as late as 2002. Those forms also state that Romney earned at least $100K in 2001 and 2002 as an executive at Bain. - Jsaquella
he was a titular CEO. the salt lake city Olympics were in deep sh1t in '99 and it was an all- encompensing position he took on to save the gms. pathetic attempt at promoting a scandal with solyndra, fast and furious, the intelligence leaks, the taxpayer financing of overseas jobs, light squared...so many more. mitt is just boring and it's p1ssing people off on the dem side.
one thing he's done is reclamation projects...the ones bush and Obama created along with the profligate house and senate. |

One and only post on the subject: Don't pretend either party actually wants to cut spending, let alone is willing to do it. The spending cuts we need to right the budget aren't going to be proposed by anybody in Washington, it'd be political suicide. The cowardly shift towards self preservation and party line voting is disgraceful.
But who wants solutions? Obviously making sure blame rests with the other party is far more important. |

This has been explained. Romney left in 1999, but wasn't replaced for a period of time. I'll get the story when I'm not on my iPhone. - jstross
Wow, I need a job I can leave that will pay me $100K for three years while they find my replacement. |

Obama has the lowest spending growth rate as President since Eisenhower. That's a fact. If He's a socialist, he's a really bad one. - Jsaquella
figuring spending the way Obama has is the equivalent of measuring one's Johnson from one's a-hole. |
|
|
|
It's a silly discussion anyway since Congress controls spending not the president. |

Call it a severance, pension whatever. Happens all the time. You'd puke if you saw what jack Welch got when he left GE. Heck, Adam Eatin got $8 million after he left the Phil's.

I see one guy standing up with some kind of plan and it's Paul Ryan. Romney says he's on board with that plan or something like it and that's the second biggest reason I back him. the first is the deceitful incompetance of the current office holder. |

Oh, so he was a titular CEO...which means he really hasn't done anything
Romney's not boring. He is simply whatever the crowd listening to him speak wants him to be. His record as governor was one of tepid job growth and a health care plan that he now denounces.
He changes positions more often than Kerry. He's like Lyle Lanley, selling monorails to towns that don;t need them. |

I understand the concept of a Golden Parachute when a CEO leaves a job. But Romney was listed as an active executive in the filings. |

Entitlements need to be cut. It's a simple fact. The proposed tax increases on the suppossed wealthy raises $85 billion. That's what the government spends in 8 days. Most people died before ever collecting social security. Even when they did collect they weren't living an average of 10+ years past 65.

I'm no fan of Romney, but a state run plan is significantly different than a national plan. Heck, city healthcare are rural health are completely different. He is boring by the way.

That's kind of been my point. They're all just blowing smoke up your ass to get elected. Once they get into office, they do what their corporate masters tell them to do anyhow. |

Exactly. They dont give a (frank) about the people. Only about the money that enters their pockets. |

As it stands I'd like to see the Glyers try:
Hartnell/G/Briere
Simmons/Schenn/Voracek
Read/Couts/Fedetenko
Talbot/Rinaldo/Wellwood
How to upgrade lines 3 and 4 is were I'd focus my attention. |

Biggest worry there is the defensive play of the top line, especially against bigger lines.
They'd have issues against a bigger line, like when Boston had Horton and Lucic with Krejci |
