That's what we have now, though.
The House voted for the 34th( I think it was the 34th) time to repeal the Health Care Initiative. It can't pass in the Senate, but it was again voted on. This is what our representatives do, rather than pass legislation that might help, because it might help the other side's prospects in November.
People are more uninformed than any time in my lifetime and there's so much partisan crap that nothing gets done easily. It will take a principled person, with a set of brass balls to fix the issues, but we get Obama and Romney. No balls and no principles. - Jsaquella
Well I agree about the principled and balls, but it'll never happen because the machine won't allow it. I've been following the Repub Nom. race very closely, and its amazing the corruption/voter fraud/polls closed for 2 inches of snow that has been going on. There's only 1 party in this country, the idea of 2 is an illusion. And I hesitate on someone going in there and just pushing through an agenda because likely that would require an executive privilage/order, which isn't how its supposed to work, but may be the only way something does get done.
We're screwed either way this Fall, hopefully we have a healthy hockey team atleast. |

All politicians line their pockets.
Romney's not interested in creating jobs, just putting money in his pocket. Obama lacks the stones to push through his agenda. Either way, it's watered down Top Ramen soup.
Just depends which corporations you want to have in charge. - Jsaquella

Do you really think Romney is making money by running?
We know people in office that nearly went bankrupt running for Senate.
On the flip, I am sure Obama's royalties from his book sales went way up after being elected (and while running). Kind of an awkward statement.
To be blunt, Romney would be much better at creating jobs. Plans presented by Camp, Simpson, and Bowles would finally gain traction. Privately, dems and republicans support these plans. - Daman
Romney's entire adult life has been about adding to his vast family fortune.
Most of Romney's professional life has been spent buying companies, leveraging the poop out of them and then declaring bankruptcy and laying off hundreds of workers.
Romney claims that he created 100,000 jobs while at Bain, but he's been unable to verify that claim-just like he's unable to actually disclose the date he left Bain. With Romney's record in Massachusetts being one of mediocre job growth, I'm not sure how that translates into creating more jobs with him as president. Making a private fortune has very little to do with job creation.
I'm not defending Obama in all this, either. But you're comparing the royalties from a book to the millions that Romney and Bain made by taking over and leveraging companies into the ground, causing people to lose their jobs and pensions. |

Romney has plenty of $$, Obama needs to just not lie 80% of the time he opens his mouth. |

Agreed. It's literally corporation vs corporation, rather than idea vs idea. |

True, but the Presidents budget got 0 votes, the house budget passed but the senate hasn't voted on a budget in over 3 years. It's absurd.

I suppose changing your position on a subject every five weeks isn't lying. Romney created that thing people call Obamacare. Now, he's against it. Romney was against the bailout of GM, now that the company was saved and jobs created, he took credit for it.
I guess my point is, both are completely full of poop. To single one out as a liar is being disingenuous. |

Guess what? Under the socialist Barack Obama, taxes and Government spending are at their lowest levels in over 50 years. |

Romney left Bain in 1999. It's common knowledge.

please, your tearing down a guy who doesn't need this. he' s successful and evn left wing fact check orgs have debunked this Bain/ Olympics nonsense. what's really said is that some people think Obama isn't a true believer in socialism and class envy promotion when its so obvious that he is. meanwhile, he's spending us into oblivion and that no one can deny.

Romney and anybody who knows about business, would rather a privately held co go thru reorganization than be nationalized on the backs of taxpayers. Obama said he was from Kenya for 16 yrs cause it fit a narrative...like when his parents were around for the march to Selma, AL...oops time line doesn't work. Obama is an inveterate liar...makes Clinton look like honest Abe. |

Odd, because government filings with the SEC say that Romney didn't leave Bain until 2001. A financial disclosure form Romney filed in 2003 stated that he was the full owner of Bain as late as 2002. Those forms also state that Romney earned at least $100K in 2001 and 2002 as an executive at Bain.

All part of the illusion of a 2 party system. Republicans are benefiting just as much without a budget, but they need to make it look like they're irate about it.......It's funny because Goldman Sachs supplies money to both Obama and Romney, talk about hedging their bets. Our banking system is backed by the government, which leads to morally bankrupt decisions.....it's a shell game my friend |

Obama has the lowest spending growth rate as President since Eisenhower. That's a fact. If He's a socialist, he's a really bad one. |

This has been explained. Romney left in 1999, but wasn't replaced for a period of time. I'll get the story when I'm not on my iPhone.
