I don't see him getting signed long term nor do i see a great year from him since there really is no room for him in the lineup unless Carlyle and Burke want to go with a lineup like this.

I'm kidding man. If Connolly has a 50 pt season, yay, we got about 50% value out of him for both years. No way he's resigned. I don't see Burke pulling a JFJ and signing him to a Blake deal off of one year's production.

I want Kulemin and Frattin on the third line: that'll be the first true checking line we've seen in a long time and one with some scoring upside and speed.

I'd rather see JVR on the 2nd line with Grabovski working on his consistency and his two-way game; I think Grabs would be a good teacher for him on that line. On the right side, a bigger/stronger Kadri would be a decent fit, but that leaves Mac on the outside looking in. I think barring a trade, Bozak is back centering the top line.

I know you are a Bozak hater however Bozak played better as the 1st line center then Connolly did so if it came down to Bozak or Connolly as our 1st line center this year I am taking Bozak.

If Lupul and Kessel regain there form before Lupuls Injury Bozak is good for over 50 points this year. maybe not 60 but at least 50-59. I think he would have gotten there this year if Lupul didn't get injured and the Leafs avoided sucking for 2 months.

I've considered it. If JVR matches Lupul's production, we have a #1 center (maybe not a raging boner stud canadian-made #1, but I don't see those anywhere do you?).

their off the books either way. Carlyle's not going to showcase them at expense of icing the best team... both contracts are off the books anyway end of season. the 2 6th round picks and bad contracts you'd take back wouldn't be worth having them on the ice instead of Frattin or Kadri
