Just because I feel like poop disturbing today, do you remember the last first round player in his very early twenties to train with Roberts?

I really don't see Burke trading him before they actually give him a long look, and this is the year. Unless it's in a deal for Getzlaf or something. Kadri was his 1st pick, and the way Eakins is talking about him, they know he's got the talent to be a big time player, just a matter of getting the physique for it.

Amen. Besides the glaringly obvious, we gotta turf Lombardi and Connolly. Connolly still has potential to regain his form -- the ceiling is always going to be high with him -- and with his likelihood of getting hurt, makes sense to keep him playing/healthy scratch/IR all year as the 13th forward.

Komarov was basically "we'll see" if he will go down the the Marlies or return to Dynamo, so you can't really count on that guy as a regular unless he blows everyone away out of camp.

Lombardi gets put on waivers and buried.

Frattin will probably be out until Oct/Nov.: rehab/conditioning stint in the AHL.

Assuming JVR doesn't stick at center, that leaves our opening night roster looking something like this:

Lupul Bozak Kessel
MacArthur Grab JVR
Kadri McClement Kulemin
Connolly Steckel Brown

not really liking that 3rd line without Frattin on it; almost rather have JVR there instead of Kadri.

JVR McClement Kulemin

No way in hell that second line plays a shutdown role without Kulemin on it; Grabs is really the only solid defensive guy (Mac being ok, Kadri being sub-par), but the 3rd line looks respectable defensively and definitely has size.

Nah, I think the dude's ready to contend for the #1 goaltender spot somewhere. If he was cool being a backup, he'd stay in LA.

exactly, why would he go from being a backup to a starting goalie for a long time to another back to another starting goalie for another long time? where ever he goes he will go to be the #1 goalie, or be able to at least challenge for that spot

Apparently this is considered a provocative picture of Paulina Gretzky. She tweeted it while on the set of "Grown Ups 2". It's just a picture, nothing provocative other than it's in a bikini. Not the 1st or last person to take a picture of themselves in a bathing suit lol. Regardless, it's nice to look at.
