Yeah, I know. The 2 that live there are 21. 1 is respectful for the most part, 1 not even close. I'm only 24 and wouldn't dream of being as ignorant or disrespectful. I mean, it's an apartment building, not your own house. Other people are affected by noise created, but it doesn't seem to matter.

Agreed. Burke said "July 1st is our draft" exactly twice, the two years we didn't have 1st round picks. What else is he going to say? That's exactly the kind of response you get from Burke.

He's also said several times, "July 1st and the trade deadline is where we (GMs) make the most mistakes... have a poor track record".

Does that mean that Burke will or will not make any July 1st deals again? Not at all, he's just playing up to the media, giving them what they want: Burke sound bites.

People need to stop taking everything the guy says so literally (he's entitled to rhetoric like every politician I've ever listened) in front of the cameras. He's a big blowhard, he loves the limelight, that's just who he is. I find it highly entertaining (kind of like, you know, exactly what professional sports is) and enjoy watching his pressers; I'm also smart enough to know that I don't have to take everything he says at face value all the time either.

To me, his actions speak loudest: for the debatable mistakes (Kessel, bad UFA signings) there's a ton of good (organizational improvements top-to-bottom); he's also learned from his mistakes (like keeping his draft picks and not shelling out stupid money at FA; even Connolly was only a two year deal. Could've easily been a Leino deal).

Honestly, this makes me INCREDIBLY happy. Like it says in the article, the fact Roberts agreed to train him is a HUGE step forward. Shows that Kadri isn't the slacker we pegged him as.

I really don't see Burke trading him before they actually give him a long look, and this is the year. Unless it's in a deal for Getzlaf or something. Kadri was his 1st pick, and the way Eakins is talking about him, they know he's got the talent to be a big time player, just a matter of getting the physique for it.

I've contemplated it. It's a privately owned building with 6 apartments. The landlord owns a total of 40+ apartments in town and cares very little for any of them. Most are run down unfortunately. So he probably won't care much.

We've called the cops a lot, and I know the someone else will. If it's the party they're planning on it being, we won't have to. The neighbours across the street said that they would call, so I'm hoping they stay true to that.

We won't be gone ALL night, but for a large portion of it we will be.

Honestly, headphones won't stop it.

I believe the subwoofers they have are 3000 and 5000 watts respectively. That's just unnecessary. And they apparently plan on having BOTH set up and running. Wouldn't surprise me if it brings the whole damn building down lmao.

Right now they're in the one guys car as subs in the trunk but he'll likely move them back into the apartment for saturday.

That's good.

It started with them having 2 subwoofers in their living room directly below ours. They would turn them up so loud it would vibrate our entire living room. At one point Blair took a video of the TV set at a volume of 6 and you could hear it clearly. Then she filmed it when they had the music on and the volume is at 70 and you can't hear the TV. Plus the bass shakes everything and it actually caused my Xbox controller to vibrate OFF the table.

After that I went down and FREAKED on them. It got better after that, but then other poop happened where they had made enemies and got broken into and fights and a broken window. They then decided to start hanging out in the one guys bedroom which is directly below ours and they make noise at the most ridiculous hours.

For example, last Sunday at 4:30am they cranked up music from the room right under us. We called the cops for a noise complaint. Cops showed up, knocked for 10-15minutes with no answer on the door. Music turned down. Cops left, music back up. Called cops again. Cops knock for another 10-15minutes. Still no answer. Music stops. Cops leave, music finally stays off.

But music on early mornings has happened quite a bit over the last couple weeks. And it's usually around 5am. When they hang out in the bedroom even just talking is loud and we can hear everything clear as day. It's ridiculous. After I freaked out about the bass he took them and put them as subs in his car so that wasn't an issue anymore. But then the 5am crap started.

Plus they have friends over all the time that don't give a crap about anything and have put 4 or 5 holes in the wall in the hallway when you first walk into the building. There's a TON of damage to the building, and since 1) the landlord doesn't give a crap and 2) their friends don't care, nothing will be done to fix the place up probably.

Thankfully they got evicted, but they were given 2 weeks, which basically gives them 2 weeks of not giving a crap about anything.

And to be fair, it's only 1 of the roommates that live there. The other 1 is quiet and we get along great. Unfortunately, he lives there too and is getting punished because of the other guy and his friends.

It seems like I wrote a TON but honestly, that's only a portion of the crap we've been dealing with in regards to them. If I were to explain everything I'd be typing for an hour.
