I like Franson too. I know there's advanced stats haters on here but this paints a pretty accurate picture of Franson to me:

As for our defense, yup, and the improved mobility is only going to help (that along with not pinching like crazy as Wilson had them do) us get back and cover.
I think the NHL is all about speed and transition and our team, for lacking physicality on the back end, makes up for it with good skaters across the board (save for Komi).
Should be interesting to see.

I think most of us realize the UFA pool was pretty shallow and that the team needs to let some contracts run their course while the young prospects get NHL ready. |
