No one predicted that, everyone knew they would suck since they were rebuilding and had Nash as there only scoring threat with poop defense and goaltending, I think the Avs have a much better chance at making the playoffs than buffalo, just my opinion

After the Carter and Wisniewski signings people were predicting they would make the playoffs. Plus the west is harder than the east and the sabres play in an easier division than the avs. You guys will probably finish 3rd in your division if you're lucky.

it was more so just realizing that the pieces of the puzzle match up..

STL needs D.. and we have D men to spend..

Stewart is a big tough forward.. we are small..

Stewart can pot 25+ goals and gets 100+ hits.. we need more guys like that.

Stewart is a decent fighter and even had 100+ PIMs last year.. and we could use more guys that stand up for themselves and the team.

Stewart has a nice RFA small contract and not some stupid deal another GM signed him to.

I've seen both play.

Vanek will NEVER get traded straight up for Stastny sorry but respectfully , you are living in a dream world if he is worth as much as Vanek !
