What I'm saying is that Sekera is almost the exact opposite of what he has been billed to us as -- the puck-moving offensive defenseman. Hes more of a two way defenseman that is actually pretty good at defense. The advanced stats from last season i posted prove that. Thats the new role he has taken on the team. They arent relying on him to score goals anymore. Thats what Myers and Ehrhoff are for, afterall they are the ones getting the minutes with the top lines. - theblueandgold
fine...let me ask you this...straight up, no ulterior motive...would you consider leo and sekera the same type of defenseman? |

Look at Vince's comment above yours comparing stastny and vanek, almost identical, you have no proven centers so you clearly need stastny, I bet you've never even seen him play - MattDuchene9
We don't need Stastny. |

Weber I think has good potential, don't get me wrong...I just feel that he's the odd man out. That leaves our D a little on the soft side losing him but I don't see him working his way into the top-6 with what we've got already. |

This is why Sekera would prosper playing with Erik Johnson. Duchene gets out of our logjam at center to play top minutes in Buf. Vanek gets a center in Col. You get a puck moving dman that can score. We get a stay at homeISH guy to pair with EJ. Hodgson and Duchene are actually best friends as well. |

weber can kick some ass...he also can get the puck out of the zone...but...he does make some pretty bone-headed plays...
if he can clean that up, he'll be a kick-ass bottom-pairing d-man who'll clear the front of the net and add an intimidation factor on the blue line |

Your centers are ennis, hodgson and grigorenko, ennis is the only proven one but is not a first liner and you don't even have a fourth liner, you desperately need a center and stastny is one of the few available first line centers for you

The only thing Ennis has proved so far is that he was capable of going on a 15 game hot streak |

They are pretty close, yes. There are slight differences between the two in their style of play. But, I would consider them both TWD. I think even despite Sekera's numbers hes slightly more off and Leo is slightly more def. |
