Thanks. But I didn't start this JayBo stuff. Eklund did. I just said that I wouldn't be pissed if they didn't give up any assets. I can see how it would work out. - RooNosHockey
Eklund needs stuff to get the clicks, I ain't mad at him. Hey I'd buy him a beer if it came to fruition as much as it pissed me off, but doesn't mean I'm gonna slog it out in the debate trenches all afternoon either.
Oh yea, but it was well worth it. I would do it all over again, and I was actually happy because I didn't have to pull my hair out over the last 2 weeks during this JVR, Parise, Suter, Voracek, Ryan, Nash...BS. I also learned how to cut pancakes with tooth picks, play blackjack with Tom Cruise in Vegas, and I found out I'm an Excellent Driver. - RooNosHockey

Just got on, didn't read back.
Would there be any interest in someone like Arnott for a big, checking center?
Cap hit shouldn't be so bad. Decent enough last year on faceoffs at 50.3%. Big. A plus 13 with the Blues. Still found time to score 17 goals. Age a factor.

I think Arnott would be a great addition. Would he be an assistant coach for the Flyers or the Phantoms?
If he doesn't waive the NTC in the offseason and you absolutely need the money, thats when you bite the bullet and buy him out. Sure its 2 million on the cap for 2 years, but its not that bad. Without any changes the Flyers would still ahve about 3.1 million in cap space, and maybe more if there is a bonus cushion.
Then next season WORST case senario if you have to buy him out and the cap doesnt go up, you will get over 10 million in cap space with Timonen and Jaybo's cap space alone. Or in other terms 16 million to resign Simmonds, Hartnell, and go after Weber, Enstrom, or whoever... More then enough. - RooNosHockey
Yes it is that bad. It's an awful, awful course of action for the Flyers to take. It would reek of incompetance.

I think Phi1736 said so yes. I'd give him a look see.

How is he defensively... If he was a good d-center Id definitely have interest. One of my bigger complaints is the lack of a big defensive center with vet experience. Talbot is a hell of a player, but I want more size and a better f/o guy.
