Yes, but would he have been able to do it with the supporting cast on the Leafs? - Feeling Glucky?

So I take it Burke hasn't quite had the nibbles or talks he'd want so he's fine with making a guy who's been a winger his NHL career and use him as the big bad centre? Suh-Weet! |

So what you are really saying is you were a giant loser and no one liked you. - robin_steele264
Yeah i guess it would read like that eh
No...I lived in London so a lot of the people lived on campus where as my friends lived in the city...and they always had campus related things going on that I didnt care for or had time for...I worked full time (at one time two jobs) during university so while many of the first/2nd year kids were sleeping in or hanging around campus, I had bills to pay.
Either way, I certainly had time for the night activities...that I certainly didnt miss out on.
I just wasnt one of those people who hung around the campus all day cause they had nothing but a cramped dorm room/apartment to hang in. |

Well he also would've gotten more playing time..especially in key PP situations. He wasn;'t on the PP too much and not really until mid way through the season. |

It's been a while since it was a Kessel vs Seguin debate. Must have been a greasy (frank)ing idiot who brought it up. |

I may have killed the thread....hmm...
Luongo for Connolly, Kadri and a 2nd.
Getzlaf for Bozak, Frattin, Gunnarsson, 1st
This instantly make the Leafs playoff contenders and they could challenge for the cup in 2 years. |

harper is riding the oil boom hard.
any monkey could of managed to keep canada doing well with that going on.
dont want to turn this political cause that will just cause fights.. but canada has survived this global recession because of our resources.. nothing more.. - Dozzer
Protective firewalls around our banking structure and specifically, tightened mortgage lending controls, have been hugely important, as out of control mortgage lending and then using said toxic loans to back globally traded securities, was the prime culprit in the shredding of the US economy. Resources help but don't really insulate us from global recession. The problems in Europe could still have a hugely negative effect on us. Its why things like these ridiculous carbon capture schemes infuriate me so, as they'll have a negligible effect on the environment but cost an insane amount of money, just so government types can pat themselves on the back and gain the votes of a few unwashed and fanatical green types. Don't even get me started on biofuel.

If its established that Kessel > Seguin then we can easily deduct that Eberle >>> Seguin.

I'd do both assuming that the first for Getzlaf is conditional on us making the playoffs or something and assuming that we were granted permission to speak to him first and work out an extension.
In other words: it won't happen. But I'd be nice. |

really eh?
Why....to me Kadri has a "higher" ceiling. Frattin is just a workhorse who is seemingly really strong... |

Unless the Ducks want less in return, this is always the case
*And the part about the deal making the Leafs instant contenders and cup challengers....was sarcasm...hopefully that was understood |

We've been in the low to mid 30s all week. Humidex has put us around 37 a couple days. I love it. Can't wait for an epic thunderstorm. |

fully agree...although Kadri could have much more value down the road, whereas a guy like Frattin could be replaced rather easily. The book is still out of Kadri but I still think he will be a top6 guy who can snipe. |
