Maybe they have inquired...I don't think the Leafs have the assets to make trades like these, in fact I think Burke wants to build from within which isn't a bad idea...

The Flames may actually decide to start moving assets to get on a fast track rebuild...what about Kipper? Solid guy, one year left on contract...

Something has to give though. But like you said "Trades like these" dont seem to be in the cards. But they do in fact have to move out 2 for 1 at least to open up some space.

It's fine by me too. It just doesn't give our better players much reason to stay unless they like living in Toronto... Waiting for the team to get better without trades is going to be slow. I suppose it gives the players on the team more confidence though that there not going to get shipped out any second.
