People in big cities I guess just can't get used to having to walk on sidewalks with just a few people rather than 1.2 million. They like the Sardine feeling.

Yeah...I dont think I could move to Toronto...too big for me.

- walshyleafsfan1

I'm from the UK, I get to start drinking 5 hours before most of your folks (4 before you).

So what if that's 10am Edmonton time.....????

Some Tool on Sportsnet think the Leafs should trade Lupol for Luongo!......Ya great idea!! Lets Trade a point per game player, 25 goal scorer who is 28 and finaly reaching his potential who has awesome chemistry with Kessel for Luongo........That would be the stupidest deal ever!

http://www.sportsnet.ca/f...fs_canucks_joffrey_lupul/

- billyberg10

I would do thta in a second. Lupul is not a proven player. It is likely he will drop off this coming year in production or get injured.

I would welcome that trade. That would also officially make Burke amazing. He would have traded Beach for Luongo and Gardiner...!

Even try somewhere like Picton. Quiet town, near to Belleville and Trenton, not far from Kingston and right in the heart of Prince Edward county... beautiful place with good wines

- lumlums

Picton sucks unless you like antique stores and old people...

I live close by...

Im still relatively new to big cities. Ive only been in downtown Toronto for 2 years now. I hate the crowds though, especially since I work at Yonge and Dundas.

I used to have to walk through China town to and from work. I was nearly on the brink of quitting my job to design a snowplow people can wear to move people the (frank) out of your way.

Plus I dont really think its Burke's fault we haven't made the playoffs...

Seriously, Matt Stajan was our #1 center a few years ago when Sundin left!!!! Ugh!

give that Grabo just got $5.5M, if Lupul puts up close to PPG pace again, he's gonna want $6M, but might take a bit less if the term is there.

So you sound like me (almost)!!! I'm born and raised just outside Buxton, university in Leeds 2002-2006. Moved to Canada shortly after and to Edmonton in 2008. Absolutely love it here, not a hcance in hell that I would head back home now.

Jeez that's alot of money to bank on two good years if he plays well. Hopefully doesn't backfire on you.

you also have to consider the fact that grabo got that kind of money partly because the UFA market was so terribly thin at centre

he would of easily attained that on the open market.. next year... if guys dont re-up.. there will be a far deeper forward UFA group

I like both! I'm from a town of a ocuple of thousand people, so I spent my childhood amusing myself with soccer, cycling and hiking. I'd be more than happy to do the same again, as long as there was a university nearby for me to teach at

check his stats though he's always been a ~25G per year guy, just lots of injuries and trades. The back thing was major and bugged him for a couple years before the surgery.

You have to think that if he can do ppg for 2 years without a bonafide no 1 centre then he can push into the 90-100 pt region if you dropped somebody like a Thornton/Kopitar between him and Kessel.

ya True, but then again, people who don't get Perry/Getzlaf etc will go for next best- Lupul.

Perry's going to get $7M+, of not $8M. If Lupul goes 70+ pts next year, he'll get $6M form somebody.

Man i'm with you. I love the idea people have of England here in Atlantic Canada. Royal Family, Hugh Grant, Love Actually, Last of the Summer Wine, Green Grass and London. Haha. I occasionally miss it, but after two days of being back i'm booking an earlier flight back to Canada. I just hope we don't ruin this country like we do most. I used to listen to the Leafs on line at 1 in the morning or so. I can't remember who the commentators were, but after listening to them i couldn't believe how we kept losing 6-1. Completely robbed. The opposition seem to only have 6 chances and we would bury on 1 of our 40 golden opportunities.
