Mueller just signed with FLA, Arniel is no longer Bruins property.

Curious to see how Button does in Providence this year, that blue line is a little crowded though. We've got some duds there that maybe could be pushed out (Cohen, etc)

- Double_A

no arniel?

and you are right they do hoave a pretty crowded blueline. i like warsofsky down there and i know they are high on tommy cross. bartkowski as well. i could see cohen being moved but i cant see us getting a high return for him

i know mueller signed, and i think caron along with tt and say a 3rd, would bring back a very valuable piece
- TendyLyfe02

not being a turd but i don't. caron is MAYBE a 3rd liner in the NHL. he needs to prove that. if he can he's probably more valuable to us actually playing on the third line. i think the value of TT's cap hit to someone else is overblown. plus a third? i mean it's good for us but why would another team give up anything of value for that package?

Wasn't qualified for some reason. Too bad I thought he showed well in his first year. (Then again I was sure Alexandrov was a lock lol)

I don't think Bartkowski has signed yet either, so he may not wind up being around.

Jackets probably need his salary and bodies at forward.

Kind of forgot about Upshall, although the way Tallon operates he'll probably just pay Versteeg $7M per to get over the floor plus they may still wind up with Luongo.

Cogliano is alright, can play Wing/C, kind of reminds me of a smaller Danny Paille though. Meh.

It is surprising. They has consistently said good thing about him especially after last years camp.

Bartkowski looked shaky the few times they brought him up. I think Krug, Cross, new picks ect may edge him out.

Whatever happened to Warsofsky? They were high on him 2-ish seasons ago and then he has dropped off of Radar.

He only signed at the tail end of 10/11 (like Krug last year). So he's only got one full year in the system. From what I've read and looking at his stats he seemed to do ok. Krug & Warsofsky both remind me very much of Hunwick/Kampfer. I thought Krug looked pretty decent in his limited ice time last year, would be nice if he or Warsofsky could turn into a solid bottom pair puck mover/PP guy.

Right. But some of these guys are a few seasons away. I'm glad they didn't make moves like signing a certain player to 13 year deal. The best off-season acquisition they can get is a healthy Horton. I just hope if that's not the case then I hope they make a move. Cause once Horton went down that's when they starting trending downwards, not the White house or Vancouver.

They'll be OK! They need a bench coach that will give them ( Lucic, Krecji, etc. ) wake up calls during the game! As for the PP, They need a shooter and a lot of creativity! it's too mechanical, easy to read! Personally I like to see Spooner have a chance, he has speed, good puck control, and he's very clever in creating opportunities on goal!

What's Knight all a about?

to be honest in hockey the head coach plays bad cop most of the time and it's the assistants who are more friendly with the players etc.

I am in 100% agreement on Horton going down being the catalyst for the downward spiral. He was having a great season, IMO would have had 30+ goals. The PP would have been more effective obviously. Man do I hope he stays healthy.

Edit: I'm bracing myself for a Chris Bourque experiment on 3rd line LW to start the season, either that they will have to buy him out because he has a NHL only contract for 2013.

He can play in Providence with an NHL contract ... he'll just be expensive. That said, I suspect he'll be the de facto #13 guy.

yup.

he makes 200k in the AHL or 550k in the NHL this year. he makes 500k next year regardless of where he is.

still they would prefer a guy to be in the NHL if they're paying him 500k.

You may be thinking of the Bruins of the 90's and early 2000's. The current GM pays what is needed to keep the guys they want in Boston.

In fact some players have been overpaid.....

So if the 2nd year is a one way would he have to clear waivers to move up or down? Maybe I should try to find out myself

1 way vs 2 way actually doesn't have any bearing on waiver eligibility. I don't know the exact rules but it has something to do with total pro games played and age. My guess is that he probably already is subject to waivers so if he were to go back and forth he'd have to clear. I could be wrong though.

I was thinking about this the other day, while often times I've thought PC has given out a little much (or at least the high end of market) at the time the deals are signed, there isn't a single contract on the roster that I'd be keen to get rid of in the sense of a pure salary dump. Not sure there are too many teams out there that can say that.

Looks like they signed Bartkowski today.
