we looked much better last year than this year...
people also look at the number of goals for that we had and say that we score alot of goals, but for people who actually watched the games, they would know that a lot of those goals came when we blew teams away 8-0, 7-0 6-1, etc.
it is july 12th but the number of availible players is not increasing - TendyLyfe02
please. don;t remember to many 8 and 7 goal blowouts.
and so what? whoever is available right now is redundant in the first place. |

you mustve not watched too many games then. i remember multiple times where the b's blew teams away last year, adding up to the goals for total.
however, im not saying the team is far away from another championship. we shouldnt be looking for another pouliot type player, we should be looking for another ryder type player |

I love this argument, as though the other top scoring teams consistently scored 4 goals every game without ever exceeding their season average. Good teams beat sh!tty teams by high scores.
This on par with saying Lucic isn't really a 25-30 goal scorer because he scored empty netters ... we all know other 30 goal scorers don't score empty netters.

dude they had a few.
leafs isles flames come to mind. but not enough that that's the only reason. whatever it's a weak argument. we lost games as well.
and what "ryder type player" should they spend the dough on? doan? i bet they offer. what if he turns them down? whitney? they weren't going more than 1 year on a 40 year old. smyth? he was nenver leaving edmonton. sullivan? wolski? who cares? they aren't that good.

relax man. it's all words typed on a screen. they don't hurt.
i get really annoyed with have to sign a guy, chia is an idiot, being conservative sucks crowd.
i'm sorry. you really don't think the front office has clear vision of the landscape and how they want to move forward? a plan?
and we have a very deep team that even though got bumped in the first round (oh the horror!) finished 2nd in the league in scoring.
they will be fine. they know what they're doing. - Fountain-San
I really have to applaud your ability to not only spin someone else commentary but then insult the other person cause you have no real argument yourself. I never said any of that garbage above. and I don't know how not being happy with a 1st round bounce and looking at the possibility of how some free agents/trades to improve the team insinuates any of the above. Every fan likes to play GM, it's fun...unless they disagree with you? |

doan is right.
say horton goes down 10 games into the season, who do they have to replace him?
youre not just trying to fill in the role of a 3rd line player, youre filling the role of a versatile player that can play top 6 mins when horton goes down |

Right which is a ridiculous statement when the argument is that it's inflated because they scored lots of goals against some teams, when any other high scoring team did the exact same thing.

c'mon AA, you know as well as i do that we have inconsistencies when it comes to scoring. it seems we score in bunches. either we score alot, or we have toruble finding the net |

ok we make him an offer. a good, competitive one and he signs elsewhere which is more than likely. then what? |

As do most teams. Adjust all teams for "blow outs" last season and we're still top 2 or 3 in scoring. They can be better sure, but I'm really not all that concerned with our quality on offense. As Fountain pointed out, the PP clearly needs work, but that seems to me to be a scheme issue moreso than a personnel issue. |

when healthy, sure, im not that concerend with the offense, but you have to look at it in respect to horton being injured. he is one hit away from being like savvy.
id be interested to see the production with horton in the lineup vs him out of the lineup |

how many sarcastic pills did you take this morning?
mueller, for example would be a good target....
and no the prospects you listed should not be in play. caron, button, arniel, etc. |

The Vancouver game seemed to be the tipping point for this team last year for whatever reason. Can't remember if Horton was before or after that, then you had the Timmy thing too which I think was overblown. While losing Horton is certainly a big blow, I think there were other factors at play as well.
You're right in that some insurance would be nice, but I don't know how many teams there are out there who have an infinite amount of top line wingers just in case something bad happens. Pevs can fill in and you have to hope for progression from the kids.
I certainly hope they find a way to make Doan work, as I'm a big fan, and I'd be surprised if the B's aren't interested. Doesn't sound like East coast is high on his list though. If they could dump TT's $ and sign Doan I'd be happy. That would probably mean not re-signing Horton next year, but I think I'd be ok with that swap. |

i know mueller signed, and i think caron along with tt and say a 3rd, would bring back a very valuable piece |

Mueller just signed with FLA, Arniel is no longer Bruins property.
Curious to see how Button does in Providence this year, that blue line is a little crowded though. We've got some duds there that maybe could be pushed out (Cohen, etc) |

agree. i really cant see chia re-signing horton if the injuries keep up. and if doan somehow finds away on the team, then once we lose horty, i feel the kids will be ready to fill in for the loss and be serviceable player. i think knight and spooner need a year with the baby bruins before making the jump and being valuable players |
