Yeah you can't just focus on trading away your franchise and say Ok yeah he's a good player, not a Stamkos, but were still going to ask the same price as the lightning would ask for Stamkos. This is exactly what they are doing and has it worked out? They're not going to get anywhere close to what they are asking because it's simply not worth it. If Howson doesn't budge Nash will suit up in a CBJ jersey, and his value will continue to fall. He is franked unless he lowers his price. He has no leverage and all the GMs know it. Not to mention he has a list of approved teams, which lowers his leverage even more.
