D-Man Carl Sneep and Forward Keven Veilleux have been re-signed to 1 year deals on the farm in WBS.

Ill be amazed if Veilleux can stay healthy for half the season.

I like Sneep. He might be able to sneak his way into the top 6 this season. He's plays physical, but he has to learn to reign it in a little.

Both have skill from what ive seen here in WBS, but both tend to play wreckless at times and the injury plague has been a result. Both have great size which would be to their advantage on the NHL level, but you cant get the experience needed sitting up in the booth night after night.

Vellieux would be a great 4th liner with his size. I'm hoping he does awesome at training camp and makes the lineup

once again a dissappointing day when it comes to free agents signings... when will the dominoe fall? will teams say f it and throw more money at semin or others due to doan not signing for another week, when will cbj deal nash, what about luongo...

theres so much that riding on one or two players and thats why the cba isnt finished.... i understand the whole need to think good of the players and families but c'mon, its not like this is a shock and came out of no where. They knew this day would come, they have offers, just say yes or no and move on..

end of rant, sorry I was at the dropzone all morning in the sun and i think its getting to me... time to go home and jump in pool. maybe something will happen then

Down here he shows flashes of skill at times, but other times he seems completely lost, especially in the transition aspect. Most of that problem is that he hasnt been able to develop relationships with his teamates on the ice so he comes off out of sorts come game time. If he could get some solid icetime to develope some cohesiveness with his linemates his game will pick up. I tend to think that your hoping for him to pull everything together to make the 4th line is a very long stretch based on how raw he still is. During the 10/11 Playoffs, he did have a nice chip on his shoulder and played with a meanstreak which kept his opponents on guard which was a lot of fun to watch. If he can get the full season in...he can be a beast come 13/14.

Roy shoulder surgery out until November. As if that trade couldn't get any worse for Dallas! We need to acquire Benn before he stops doing drugs.

To be honest, I didn't think that was a bad deal for Dallas pre injury.

Brutal trade. The only reason they had a hole in the lineup where they needed Roy is because they traded away their similar malcontent center in Ribeiro. They traded Ott away to fill a need that they created, and then the guy they brought in was no better than a lateral move to replace Ribeiro and cost them a unique and valuable asset in Ott.

Wolski to the caps for only 600k. That's a contract I think the pens should of jumped on. That's a very low risk.

Couldn't get any better value for that price...nice signing for the Caps (600K for Wolski)

Now let's throw this same amount to get Mueller

Spoken to a source close to Knuble. Was told "Don't be surprised if he and Semin cross enemy lines together." #Pens

Don't want Knuble...too old 'n slow right now..

ya i saw that, I wouldnt have minded knuble last yr or the yr before when he was a free agent, i thought he would have filled in nicely, but now im against it...

im very excited to read all the great things about bennett... if he turns into a sniper on sids line that would be awesome.....

im still hoping for a doan sid semin line or after the trade deadline an iggy sid semin line....

I agree, Mueller would make this team a lot better if you ask me. Mueller-Crosby-Semin... pretty deadly line.

but mueller doesnt bring any physicality like doan or iggy would... if your going to bring mueller in then it means pens missed out on semin

no im saying mueller sid semin sounds like a deadly scroing line but theres no toughness to it... when roberts and guerin played along sid, they were there to go into corners and to let the other players know to stay away from sid... if iggy or doan were on sids line, they would be the player throwing the body around and going into the corners... im not saying mueller sid semin line would get pushed around bc you would have to catch them first but if the puck goes into the corner, i really dont see mueller going in for it and coming out with it...
