Ek knows nothing about the 'western' teams. Not a clue.

But to be fair to Ek, unless you work for a popular sports network, it must be difficult to keep sources. People get fired, leave a job to take another, die, etc. He might of known lots of people 10 years ago when he was making a name for himself but most of those people might have moved on leaving Ek with fewer and fewer legit sources.

Ian has also stated numerous times that if any wants to write a blog he will post it on your behalf.
I do like how he has had a blog up daily for us to discuss, even when he might be grasping at straws for topics. I even like his trade friday blogs, and like that anytime I have suggested a blog idea he has been more than willing to do one on it.

I might not agree with his opinion, but I respest his right to have one.

To be honest I liked Plummer, Gage, Ethan Little and Tessier, and then came Ian with a daily blog with a bunch of added fluff, Conan videos, cuties names like the swedish mafia, etc. It was hard to take after Tessier dumps us for the jets, BUT, I have to give Ian a ton of credit and respect for is work ethic in posting something new everyday, and to take the crap that people like to whine about and the verbal attacks at his intelligence, and yet tommorrow it all starts anew.

Speaking of Eklund, for an insider with "sources", they don't seem to be talking to him too often as most of his blogs seem to be opinion pieces on how great players are and how great they'd fit into team x, y, or z. It was bad before but...

I did not read the first 6 pages of posts. I apologize if i'm repeating or anything. I was never a Mason Raymond fan. He's super fast, his hockey IQ I don't think is top 6 worthy and he's too small to play in the bottom 6. For some reason though, I'm not disliking this signing. He can produce points. He does still need to get stronger. Considering how soft the two Sedins are having a third soft player in the top 6 isn't the best idea. BUT. I feel as if he is going to not so much "break out" but be consistent this season on the score sheet. Trade bait later on in the season possibly.

To be fair, we've stated for some time that Raymond would be a great value add to most teams' top 6 that isn't the Canucks.

When you want your spare parts gone, you'll justify it any way you can. Sadly I don't think many people realize that our discussions here have no bearing on real trade discussions whatsoever.

Why don't you post on Tessier's blog, then. If you have a problem with Ian, just PM him—it's pretty rude to badmouth him on a blog that he works hard to put out on a daily basis. Show a little class.
