I can't stand to watch anymore Oiler games where Prv rushes down the wing and flips it into the goalies glove. - Pilgor09
Hope to see PRV come into camp with something to prove. Definitely benefited from seeing some playoff action and upping his game in that aspect. If he performs well I think we could see Krueger give him top 6 time and let him know it's his to lose.

i think PRV flips the puck in the glove cause he is a puss. He doesn't have the strength like hall to go to the net hard - Killbot460
he has the size, strength and speed he just doesnt use it, being sweedish may have something to do with it, just look at how useless the sedin sisters are in the playoffs. Plus PRV i am sure is just worried about messing up that perfect set o teeth he is sporting
I don't know what the obsession with moving hemsky is.
Way rather move an unproven Prv. If he reaches his ceiling I still don't think he puts up Hemsky numbers. Plus Prv is a puss. - Pilgor09
Hemsky is a RW, same as Eberle and Yakupov. Paajarvi is LW, same as Hall who could be moved to C this year. Simply put, there's just way more depth at RW than LW.

he's not 200lbs.... maybe like 175 he's so skinny such a puss

Then move one?? God forbid moving a player to the other side of the wing. The only time positioning matters is in the defensive zone. If anyone has ever played competitive hockey, they would know cycling and moving the puck moves bodies around as well.

WTF? He is 6'2" 204, Hall is 6'1" 194, not really that skinny at all, just doesn't play like a power forward when he could be driving pucks to the net and going to the dirty areas, plays on the outside, i figure let him play in the AHL another year to see if he will learn to play like a N.A. skater verses a European and if not then trade him or cut him loose.

It's a matter of preference. I personally play Wing, and I can play either side but I'd much rather play on the left side. Guys are more comfortable on one side, why try to force them to play the other?

if that were true, then the lil experiment Mactarded tried when he moved cole to the other side would have worked, instead he poop the bed. Personally i love playing the left side and have gotten used to shooting from there, it makes more of a difference than you think, especially when a player has spent most of their career playing there.

I will have to double check this but i think those stats are done once a year by the team, like at the combine the players being drafted were measured and weighed so makes it kinda hard to lie about it. They may be off a little bit but not 30 lbs as you suggested. I'm 5'7" 179, so i find it hard to believe PRV is 7 inches taller than me and 4 pounds lighter
If by Mac you mean Steve Macintyre then you are right i think he is lieing, i met him last summer at a wedding reception and he is not 250, probably bout 260-275 would be more accurate

Smyth doesn't belong in the Nhl. - Pilgor09
WTF are you for real? Yes his numbers are declining as he gets old, but he is still putting up near 50 points a year and playing (good) on the PK.

You want to talk about giveaways? Watch Smyth.
Worst in the league for terrible decision making in the defensive end.
Give that time to Hartikainen cause you know at least hell throw his weight around.
You know what I think? People east of Winnipeg have no idea about what's happening in Edmonton. The Oilers are about four solid players and two seasons away from being a great team, but you kinda need to be here to know it. Any holes on D will be filled by prospects named Schultz and Klefbom. Management is doing the right thing being patient, and they know they're doing the right thing, so they aren't talking too much in the media about it. Silence is a sign of confidence sometimes.
Main-stream hockey media located in the east see the Oilers and automatically assume management should be panicking to improve the team immediately, even if it means making a stack of bad deals along the way. Try to keep in mind a series of quick fixes gone wrong is sank the team to the bottom of the fish tank.
Some people have no idea. It gets annoying after a while. - Maxbone

And what if after the Oilers finishing signing Shane Doan, they make a deal with his former team, the Phoenix Coyotes, to acquire Keith Yandle? There are plenty of rumors going around that the 'Yotes are open to dealing Yandle, and the Oilers are interested. Obviously, if you're Edmonton, you're not going to give up Hall, Eberle, Nuge, Gagner, Yakupov, Dubnyk, Petry, Smid, Nick Schultz, Justin Schultz or Klefbom. Still, something could be worked out. The 'Yotes have tremendous prospect depth on D, but need forwards...especially if Doan leaves (keep in mind Ray Whitney already ran for it this summer).
The Oilers can afford to overpay. How about Ales Hemsky, Magnus Paajarvi, Theo Peckham and the Oilers 1st round pick in 2013? And please don't say, "OMG, the Oilers would be giving up a Top 10 pick if they make that deal" because the entire point of signing Doan and dealing for Yandle would be to avoid another Top 10 pick. - Maxbone
Seriously though, I'm just busting Clout's balls (I wish!). I know he's here to create discussion, and he does a great job of that. I wouldn't trade him for another blogger on this site.
