Kassian challenged him 3 x the next time they played. Shockingly, Phaneuf turned him down. And he turned down Regehr the same game. Oh, he also turned down McNabb that game too. - The_Inkwell
After Regehr beat his a$$ in the Calgary dressing room, Phaneuf wants nothing to do with him. |

I will catch some heat for this...I'd rather see what Foligno can do before they pay and/or trade for Bobby Ryan. why lose youth(anaheim wants youth) when you may have an equally talented player? |

Maybe not 2012-2013....but I could see him scoring 25+ a year and bringing the same game as ryan. it wasnt a 2 or 3 game thing with Foligno getting goals and playing great. IMO its no fluke he scored 13pts in 14 games. he out played any player on our team in that stretch with on a 2nd or 3rd line. as long as ruff keeps him with ennis/stafford I think he is as good as ryan by the end of the season |

No. Marcus is a combination of Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier and Eric Lindros. |

This is loser mentality. Get better now not later. Plus we will be lucky if Foligno is even in the same league as Ryan in a few years. Why not just trade for the real deal now? |

I'm sorry but everything you've said is absolutely insane, Bobby Ryan had the potential to hit 40+ goals and has 30 a couple of times. Folignos played 14 games! No comparison at all, it's like saying hey we'll trade you Reimer for Miller, Miller a top goalie in the league for a potential starter. |

Lets give Foligno a full season and then judge him.
Bobby Ryan played 23 games his first stint and only had 10 points. Foligno had 13 points in 14 games his first stint in the NHL.
At the end of next season we can reflect and evaluate. Foligno puts up 30G, 60P, id say hes on his way. |

I'd be happy if he scores 15 and 40 points, and plays the full year. |

Same here if he keeps playing as physical as he was. |

How was he supposed to fight if he got ejected?
Also, Phaneuf is a #1 D on Toronto so why would you want him in the box for 5 minutes? - JVR2112
While I absolutely hated the hit, I agree with this 100%.
The whole automatic notion of "he didn't fight after a hit, he must be a jackass" is laughably intelligence-insulting. |

Agreed.... I just hope he stays physical and learns from Steve Ott.... Foligno could be a younger version of Ott and i am perfectly happy with that.. |

Yes, especially when you consider the fact that the Stars still won't make the playoffs. Roy could break Gretzky's scoring record, but if your team doesn't win because of it, it means nothing. That's been the definition of Roy's career here (post Briere and Drury when it was "his" team). |

That Foligno hit was just awesome, clean, wicked hit and then loved how he knocked Frattin's helmet flying off his head, he is going to do real well next season |

I wanted him gone too.. But I'm just saying that don't be surprised when he tears it up in Dallas and leads them too the playoffs... |
