its just insane cuz theres guys that were sitting in the pressbox that could be regulars on a lot of other teams. for example richardson. he got screwed when gagne came back.
- boltsfan48

True, however I would never refer to player with a cup ring as being screwed over.

in no way did i say penner was needed to win a cup. i said he will be one of the guys leaving after next yr. im saying they have their entire cup winning team back this year and penner was on that team.... he did score the goal that put them into the finals tho so its not like he was completely invisible. he showed up for the playoffs.
- boltsfan48

They also murked the Yotes...someone would've put them through eventually...they were bulldozing opponents. The way you said it though was this roster has one more chance to win it and then penner is gone for sure, implies that you think without Penner they can't win. If you said it clearly then ok. I just immediately attacked your credibility, because you think the Bolts are going to be a #2 seed in the east and the Bruins are going to be a 7th or 8th, which made me suspect to your hockey knowledge.

bruins lost some players and im still not sold on rask putting up the same or better numbers than thomas has the last two yrs playing 60 games. hes never played more than what 20 or 30 a season? we will see what happens. tampa is in the same boat with lindback. but i think we can easily win our division which would put us top 3 at least.

Have you seen Thomas' numbers last year? Not great. And yes he has played more than 30 games in a season, in which season he stole the #1 starting job from Thomas and led the ENITRE league in GAA and Save%. And who else did they lose Pouliot? Have fun with him, we have too many young prospects looking to break the line up. Yeah we lost Zanon and useless Mottau, but we're also bringing up Hamilton, who is a beast, and will have our entire D healthy. So how can you think Lindback who hasn't ever played for you guys steals you a division yet someone who has led the league in those categories puts you in an 8th seed? please tell me

My 2 cents...

Thomas broke trust. His facebook antics aside, his atrocious behavior during the White House celebrations aside as well... at the end of the day he told his team "Screw You Guys, I am Going Home".

Why would any team trust that this will not happen again in mid season... hell... in mid-game.

His unprofessionalism, his quasi-racist stance and tea-party attitude will follow him like a shadow.

I agree...and this is all coming after I didn't like him anyway. Obviously I hoped he did well because he was on my team, but I think he was a lucky goalie, jsut look at his inconsistencies.

I have previous posts on my dislike for Thomas if you're interested.

i thought i had boston like 6th? 4th, 5th, and 6th will all be really close to eachother this yr. if they dont win the division then they will be down there too many spots from the atlantic.

and im basing my judgement off our bolts team being better than the team that went deep a few yrs ago. much better. and our forward depth is insane. we have pretty much 4 lines of scorers and another line of guys from the AHL that should be in the lineup from our calder cup winning team. rookie/mvp of the yr in conacher and dman of the yr barberio. we are loaded with prospects too. i wish we would trade some of our fwds for more dmen cuz we have 3 scoring lines for only 6 spots and 3 bottom 6 lines for only 6 spots. id love to get a number 3 or 2 to slot in so brewer can move into the 5th or 6th slot where he belongs.

Do you guys think it's fair to put this much praise on Kreider after one good playoff run? Just curious
- celata29

I think sometimes we get carried away. But based off of his size, strength, and speed, after a Torts training camp I can see him being a monster.

Plus, I'm confident he can handle 2nd/3rd line responsibilities, especially when other guys like Gabby/Richards are being watched by top D pairs.
