Did or will the hawks send Olesz and Montador down? Seems unlikely. If they were to pull off the proposed deal with the has, does that send Eddy and a 1st/2nd to kings for Bernier?
- Bieksa#3

There is no reason to think Olesz wont be in the AHL again this season, unless he can hands down win a spot. Unlikely.

Nobody knows Montador's health situation. It's also been speculated by some beat guys that they've been trying to find someone to take him but can always bury the contract as well.

I just don't see where goaltending help comes from right now.

I have my views on Luongo. Better than Crawford but I don't think Bowman brings that contract on..

Other than Bernier, and it's not actually known if the Kings are shopping him or not, I don't know who else is out there.

Currently, I think we're going to have to hope Crawford just went through some growing pains and that upgrading the defense will help.

The Kings are looking to trade Bernier because he requested a trade. I'm sure they'd love to keep him, but he's leaving at the end of season for sure so either now or by the trade deadline

Kings are definitley shopping him. He asked for a trade when the Quick deal was signed.. Per Andy Strickland
- Leafsrulesens

Since then Lombardi has claimed he likes going with 2 good goalies for as long as he can though..

Doesn't seem like anyone knows for sure.

Word around here is one of 2 deals.

First a 2 year deal in the $3.5 range.
Second is a 6 year deal similar to Price or Gorges but in the $5 million range

- willey101

It would have to be a sign and trade, too much risk otherwise. Maybe Hawks should have drafted his brother to make signing a little easier

Still think this deal has about a 10% chance of happening

According to Shane Doan's agent, Terry Bross, the #Blackhawks have shown interest in the veteran free-agent forward.

Never as a starter (buuut you never know) as a backup at reasonable price, now that would be interesting.

I'd personally find it entertaining if Gillis can't move Luongo.

P.K's value is pretty damn high. That deal could just be done as is.
- _Zippy_

Wonder what it'd take to sign him money wise, given contracts like Wideman and Carle.

The total cost to the 'Hawks could be a couple million more than the combined cost of Kane/Hammer.

'Hawks have to carefully consider that depending on whether or not they're still gonna (I hope they can and do it) sign Winnik and Hannan, plus have some TDL money left.

True. But he is still RFA. So if he leaves at the end of the season, the Kings still get draft picks in return. They are not under the gun to trade him unless they get a good deal for him. He can't really pout either or else it will hurt his value when he tries to sign a new contract. Kings hold all the cards.

I dont see LA dealing Bernier to the Hawks and if their willing too then I worry they know something we dont and maybe hes not a #1. Great JR goalie but not enough exp in the NHL to determine if hes a #1

His agent has confirmed multiple disscusions with both the canucks and kings. I would be very surprised to see him leave phx
- Bieksa#3

If the ownership/city/Goldwater Institute fight doesn't come to some resolve, I'd be very surprised if he stayed in Phoenix.

If the Coyotes have to relocate quickly, chances are they're going to Quebec. I don't think Doan or Quebec like each other all that much.

Idk, I don't have anything against Vancouver, persay. They've never really done wrong by me. I like Luongo, don't get me wrong. But we finally have a GM who gets it down here. We finally have a GM who knows how to draft (see Huberdeau, Howden, Bjugstad, Markstrom, Petrovic, Brittain, Gudbranson, etc..) as opposed to all the GM's we've had who couldn't (see Olesz, Repik, Frolik, etc..). It would not be good for this organization unless something else was involved. Huberdeau will be in the NHL next season. Howden might be as well. Should be fun. We don't need the distraction.
