Does it really matter? Both don't play for the Sabres and both will never play for the sabres in the future... - Chipd
If it doesnt matter to you, not sure why youre bothering reading it when it gets brought up. Just skip whats being said and be done with it. I like talking about Roy and showing that the common opinion of him is poorly exaggerated. I also wasnt the first one to bring him up today. I just responded to someone else who made false claims.
And since people like you have the opinion that were not allowed to talk about Roy anymore since he is no longer on our team, then I dont expect us to talk about any other player in the NHL thats not on the Sabres from this point forward.
But that would be an unrealistic expectation and one I certainly disagree with.

Chris Butler lead the sabres in ice time in the 7 game series against the Flyers in which the Flyers won and went on to the Stanley Cup final. Butler is a decent hockey player who has a place in the NHL. He will NEVER be an All-Star or anything close to it, but only a few men are. The Mike Weber thing too, Decent player. I've never seen a team with Six Shea Webers's or Drew Doughty's in the lineup before.

this is from early last year when Scott was still on the Blackhawks... I guess some reporter asked him about how Shawn Thornton was portrayed to be a "chirper" to the other teams..

I am getting this guys jersey i think... - JVince11
Not to rain on the parade but you need Shawn Thornton toughness on the Sabres (got some of that with the Ott acquisition) not John Scott toughness. The John Scott's of the NHL are worthless now. You need to mix in some hockey talent these days.

And where is this Shawn Thornton toughness on the Pens? The Canucks? The Kings? The Devils? The Rangers? The Blues?
You dont "need" it. Theyd be fine without Thornton since they have Lucic.
