Buffalo usually has a blend of the young and a few from the AHL.. they usually don't have players that have played a full season in the NHL but with him being new i think it is good for him to work and communicate with the coaches - SabresFaninIndiana
I think he will do well in Buffalo, getting an opportunity to start fresh with a new team that he can be an important part of. One of the nastiest goals scored on Thomas last year where he absolutely was smoked by shot while having a clean look at it was off of Cody's stick while he was with the Canucks still. |

Didnt realise how big the young goalies are. Wouldmt mind seeing them play and see if any of them has a Sabres future. |

I worry if the coaching staff has the ability to develop a center. |

Seguin only went to camp the summer he was drafted. The Bruins camp is full of college players, 2012 draft picks, players that are looking to make the AHL team. There is one player from the Bruins, Krug, who signed with the Bruins last season out of college and played a couple games for them after they wrapped up the division. For some reason Chiarelli gave Krug an NHL only contract to entice him to sign with the Bruins but I have a feeling once Hamilton makes the team Krug is goin to be viewing games from the 9th floor.
Other than Krug, there are no pros except players who got in a couple games in the AHL after their Junior season was over. (Knight, Spooner, Koko, etc.) |

this is very valid concern.. however having a player that started as a center, really gives them a leg up over where they have started in the past |

We've had some decent Centers in our day.. Drury, Peca, Briere, Connolly and Roy when they played with something to prove.. We just haven't had a Top 5 talent center pick like we do now. Give the staff some credit. If they couldn't develop players, Ennis wouldn't be playing like he's on fire. |

Just seems like the only players that seem to elavate when they get here is Dmen adn Goalies. I hope guys like Coho adam ennis and the 2 rookies develop but the history with guys like Roy and Connolly never living up to potential is a big red flag for this staff. |

Id say Roy and Connolly never lived up to potential. Peca was on the level of gaustad was a roel player even though it may be a big role. With Ennis i need to see it over the course of a full season. |

I'm really not interested in adding to the bottom 6 anymore until the top 6 is improved first. That's where all the effort should lie right now. Ott was a good acquisition and addressed a need. Now, address the bigger one. |

Not before another Doan blog, which should lead us to yet another Stastny blog, which you go right through to a Kane blog and then maybe back to a Doan blog or maybe a Ryan blog. all this will lead up to yet another Stastny blog. |
