did hodgson skating improve? or is he still a step behind? - alexthegr8
not sure how much more he can improve with his skating...
one thing i did notice about him last season, even when he wasn't scoring--he always seemed to be in the right position on the ice |

Instead of the same conversation and cause I am bored. Who is the best player in the league, Who will it be in 5 years.
My answer for both is Stamkos.
5 years - Landeskog will be a close 2nd. - ImThatGuy
Like those for forwards also like jamie benn ohhh and giroux
interested in the next great defensemen Doughty is clear but wonder what Larsson will look like without parise and brodeur |

clearly he doesn't.
everyone wanted roy gone and now that he is gone everyone wants to blow up the team so we can get bobby ryan or rick nash. not worth it. the players we will give up will have more goals and points combined then that one player. stick with balanced scoring. that's why i am not to worried about inserting grigs plus relying on some other players to fill roys production hole. (god i cringed as i typed that) |

Zemgus Girgensons on NCAA or turning pro. "Nothing’s been clarified yet. We’ll see what happens after camp."
What will Zemgus Girgensons weigh for his decision? "That’s something in me, what my heart’s going to say." |

I really Like Nashvilles young D men. With Ryan Ellis. I think he will sky rocket soon. The Nashville situation is very interesting. If they lose Weber I wonder how the 7Mil per year for Renne will look. |

that is what i like to hear
and i liked roy so i was def not bashing him.
i think we will be just fine with grigs on the third line and cody and ennis as 1 & 2. we dont need to be the pens to win games. - LizzyJo
vanek-grigs-pommer > vanek-hodgson-pommer
third line "technically" plays against the other teams number 1. Although grig is a two-way player, IMO id much rather he play on a more offensive line. Let him concentrate on his offensive game, since that is the reason we drafted him, while working on his Defensive game against an oppenents shut down line.

Your're not goign to go to it as much as you think. I remeber thinking how much Chipolte id eat now that one is right by my house but dont go so much. Nice to have the option though since for me over in larkinville doesnt have much selection. Our best stuff is the food trucks which are great btw fyi if you didnt know |

Youre saying because Roy only put up 35 points the entire season, he didnt contribute offensively. But he only played 35 games that season. He contributed the MOST when he went out.
Crosby only put up 37 points in a season he was injured. So according to your argument that you used against Roy, Crosby didnt help contribute to his team this year.
But oh wait, its Crosby not Roy, so that argument doesnt apply!
If youre going to argue one thing, at least make it universal. |

Had he played 82 games, there would have been more offense. It's an extremely simple concept.
I'm not bashing Roy, you're making stuff up to try and make your argument look more valid. |

Everybody seems to hate Leino and his contract...
What do you think about a Leino for Lecavalier...

Right, so since Crosby only put up 37 points, then he didnt contribute offensively to his team this year, much like Roy didnt contribute offensively two years ago. This is your argument not mine.
So, why are you telling him he "doesnt get it" when he pointed that out? |

i'll argue that even when roy was at or near a point/game player, the sabres record as a team was not playoff worthy (2007/8, 2008/9, the early part of 2010/11)...
is that his fault? ...probably not, but fact is, the team wasn't winning with him and his offensive contributions |

well i'm off to lunch. i will pray that we don't blow up the team while i'm gone. we will be fine with no more moves. we have a solid team. could be worse. we could be the leafs, have a horrible team and have to move some of their top players for nash. will that make them a better team? no. same applies for us, giving up some of our top players for 1 player will not help this team. ponder on that while i am gone. |
