I don't think Burke is upset right now, if Gardiner was a consolation. As it stands, you still have to hope Schultz develops into what Gardiner is so far.

Burke also wanted Komisarek, Lebda, Giguere, Armstrong, Connolly, Ashton. Just because Burke wants someone, doesn't mean that they'll be good.

Burke also had this happen to him before in the Versteeg deal when he acquired Bill Sweatt from the NCAA, and he refused to sign with the Leafs later signing with the Canucks.
So far, Sweatt has spent 2 seasons in the AHL topping out at 46 points, and played two NHL games while not registering a point.

All in all, as I said, the jury is out until Schultz plays in the NHL. I'm not calling him a bust, and I'm not calling him great. I'm simply saying he's an unproven prospect. It'll be interesting to see if he lives up to the hype.

Neither will be a leaf.

My Sundin white jersey was so worn I got rid of it. I don't even have a jersey now, I want to get a new one for the fall. I like the new jerseys better but I don't know what name to get lol...there's no go-to jersey name on the team right now. I might just have to get Gary Roberts or something.

Do what I did. Grab a '67 throwback Jersey and put a Hall Of Famer on the back. It never goes out of style. I wish the Leafs would go back to the '67 logo and ditch the Ballard Leaf from 1970. The team has been unsuccessful with that crap logo for over 40 years. If they get a white one, from '67, consider it sold!
