ahha, in all seriousness I'd take Ebs over Kessel in a heartbeat.

Rielly and Gardiner for Yakupov.. would u do it or not?

- peddy-93

Hmmm that really decimates the Leafs defense.

I dunno. Oilers got some nice young dmen coming up and with Shultz on board now I'm pretty pumped to see what Yak can bring to the table.

kessel is a fully established sniper. 30+ every season he will get.

Ebs is a great player with a ton of potential, yes i think hes going to be an elite talent...but still lots of ? marks.

Two 5th overall picke, one 16th overall and a possible lottery pick for injury prone Hall and Eberle... you wouldn't do it?

There's a chance Reilly and Kessel are better than your two players by the end of their careers, not to mention Gardiner and the 2013 1st included aswell.

Apparently he will if Burke offers and extension to his existing deal.

the cold air in the rink can go through his gap in between his front teeth and giving him constant sore throats, thus making him injury prone

Oilers are building the franchise around these guys.

Hard sell to move both.

I dont know about you guys...but listening to Luongos interview again...he sounds like he would almost rather go to Toronto...

"I would love to play in a hockey market, where the rink is full and rocking...and the fanbase is passionate about their team..."

followed by

"I would also enjoy playing in a place like Florida where you can sit and eat a meal in peace with your family...but as a player you want to be playing in a big market..."

heres an option..........

Cristobal Huet.

If you recall, he was Chicago's starter, and lost the job to Niemmi and the Hawks went on to win the cup.. the next year with Chicago's cap problems they shipped him off to the swiss league in order to get out from his 5.5M salary.....

well that contract is up and he's looking to come back to the NHL. I say if Luongo doesn't work out, we cant land Biron, and Bernier proves to cost too many assets..wht the Fak not?

He's 37 has experience at sitting out long stretches as a back up and is hungry to show the world he belongs in the NHL again. After all he was pretty decent when he left, he just got screwed because of the contract he signed.

Career stats.........913 SA% and a goals against of 2.46

worth a look for an inexpensive veteran option

Let him play the year with Riemer and Let the best goalie play the most........

Most teams seemed to think he was pretty good.

Up to him now to bring the goods.

same ? marks any young player has...just like gardiner, and many other youngins...

will they have it every year? once people know they are good, and they get covered better and go vs better lines from other teams will they still have the jump/creativity...etc.
