You could probably get Kane for that package. He'd add some much needed size, but I don't know much about his skill level.

- clarkysduster

Not to mention every time he had a line change they'd have to fire the pyro. That'd be hell on the ice.

Yeah, it's either playoffs or last at this point.

And then we draft mcKinnon......jam!
- Gorback

Yeah...the league would allow the Leafs to draft a potential franchise player.

You still havint explained your reasons Toronto is so much better than Montreal? I'd like to hear that...
- OrangeKrush

oh, sorry.

Montreal obviously has a massive advantage in net but I think the Leafs have a much more balanced forward attack, deeper defence and higher-end scoring talent.

That being said, if montreal finished above toronto, I wouldn't be that surprised either.

After the top 4 in the East, it's anyone's guess who gets in and who doesn't.

purcell 24 G 41 A 65 PTS +9 last season
Connolly was a rookie 4 G 11 A 15PTS
JT brown was the top FA college player last season.
pouliot had like 32 pts for bos last yr. but he will be on our third line.

5 out of our top 6 scored over 20 goals last yr. brown will be the 6th

- boltsfan48

Those 4 guys don't make you a contender this season

Thats great sorry i didnt see purcell there ,the forwards are amung the best in the east ,never argued that .The blueline and goaltending is the real issue to me Winnipegs top 4 and goaltending is far better at the moment ,and even adding carle and lindback wont change that .They should be competitive for sure and may make the playoffs but to say they should be a top team in the east is a bit of reach right now

ehhhh

buff/ enstrom
bogo stick/ hainsey

vs

hedman/ carle
salo/ brewer

hedman/carle are clearly better than buff/enstrom
and salo/brewer are exprienced and bogo and hainsey are kinda mixed. that one is kinda a toss up.

so id take the bolts D over pegs.

Unless your tenders completely fall off and Spezza and Karlsson step back, you won't finish low enough....somewhere between 6th and 11th

A lot of wingers start out playing center but he has played RW for a majority of his career. Even in Everett he played a lot of RW. Patrick Kane played a lot at center early in his career and he sucks at it now so to think that Mueller could possibly be a #1 on a team is not really logical

No one has mentioned much about Bobby Ryan...last I heard the Islanders and Flyers were in big on him...any truth to that and where do you see him landing? If the Isles can land him and bouwmeester, that would be a huge upgrade for them.
