EK, you maybe right about the two GM wanting to make the trade for Vinny and Lou but Vinny will not waive his NMC to go to Van. |

In no order....

Battling for 5-8:
Was
Buff
Tor
Ott

Tamp
Flor
NJD
Not Battling
Mon
NYI
Winni
Insert your constructive changes (and why?) - clarkysduster
With Price in net, a grittier bottom six and player developement/return from injuries you can bet Montreal will be closer to a playoff spot this year then they were last.
You just can't discount what a goalie like Price can do for a team.
Even though I hate them I have to be weary of them. Only team I hate more is Ottawa.

there are no non battling teams. every single team in the east can potentially make the playoffs next year - sensnucksnocups
Yeah, that's very true. Consider the three categories as likelihood based then. |

Uh Thomas' no trade clause expired on July 1st anyway Ek, so him waiving his NTC back before July 1st really has no relevance in what you posted. Unless I am missing something in which case could you please clarify? |

How about despise?
Of note I've done nothing but argue for Ottawa and Montreal today. Time to take a shower, chug a beer and get back on the arse kicking train. |

I think Montreal is going to be really good soon, I just think they will have one more down year before they begin the big upswing. |

Haha, you know the feeling is mutual. I can't wait for another epic Leafs vs Sens Playoff battle. Hopefully sooner rather than later. |

I can't wait for Ross to become the new Tucker and Sens fans to be irate with him forever.
It's going to happen. |

We have to sign a ton of players...and goto Cap Geek and see the amount of space most teams have next year...it's big.
To be a FA next year might be a very good thing... - Canadian kid Yep everyone has cap pretty much ,there will be some monster deals handed out .And iam sure getzlaf will want more than a 5 year deal to play anywhere right

No Nash news? I guess he stays put since few GM's would trade any player they like to a crap hole like Columbus, Ohio! |

The next CBA will have a clause limiting term. You can count on that. Whether it's 5-7-10 years long...it'll change the landscape that's for sure.

The problem is all the other teams. We need to bring a cell phone jammer with us and show up at Getz's door at 12:01.
No one else can call - he'll feel unwanted and Burke will be right there to sooth his pains.
Rinse-lather-repeat with Nonis and Perry.
Done and done. |

How about the Leafs signing and taking a chance on Peter Mueller... Would probably come cheap, could have the potential to be a number one center, only 24, capable of becoming a ppg player if he could stay healthy...
JVR/Mueller/Kessel, could be a respectable young line.. |
