Ironic coming from a team whose 1 st line center was our 3/4 th line center.

Hey ek when you going to get a bolt blogger? going on 3 years and i think that's horsesh*t!!!!!!
Vinny is not going anywhere so stop with that garbage and not for somebody that is older and never brought his team the ultimate prize with just as bad as a contract.Say what you want but vinny is one of the most recognized and respected athletes in tampa and this is a football town first but he is probably the most recognized athlete.
Please get a bolt blogger so we can have a homer of our own. - vinnybolt4life
I nominate myself for Bolts blogger... |

Doan is a mediocre slug, always has been. 50-60 point a year forward who takes way too many stupid penalties, never grew. Hope to god he doesnt wind up a wing, still holding out hope for Semin, I guess. - yave1964
This post is so backwards....take the egnimatic/floating/ego maniac over the Olympian/Captain that is Shane Doan.

If Turris can play wing and Getzlaf is resigned to an extension then I think it would be a great pick up for the Sens as Getzlaf as a 2nd line center behind Spezza would be great threat. It would take some pressure of off Spezza but also challenge him a bit. Doubt it happens though. |

My predictions...
#1: The Leafs won't get Getzlaf/Luongo.
#2: Jimmy Rimmer and Scrivens will provide decent, not stellar goaltending.
#3: The Leafs will avoid last years meltdown and slip into 7th or 8th in the East.
#4: We'll get dropped in 5/6 in the 1st round but get the playoff monkey off our back.
Agree or disagree, but I feel the above is pretty realistic. |

Ottawa and Toronto in on Getzlaf Love it even though we probably have no shot at him .might as well drive the price up on the leafs - top shelf 15
Driving the price up would indicate that we are able to pay said higher price...in reality the majority of our prospects are mid-level type guys and the amount of high ceiling talent we have is limited.
So I don't really see a lot of maneuverable room if teams wanna really up the ante.
That's the Leafs challenge...get higher end talent with the ton of mid-level talent we have and have coming.

PFFFFFFFTTTTT.......... Get rid of Luongo's brutal contract to take on another contract in lecalvelier which is just as bad if not worse. If gillis accepts this offer he will clearly be in the running with burke for the most overrated GM. - classic321
Don't you have to be viewed favorably to be overrated? I might be in the minority of people whom think we're finally starting to build the right way.
Most people would punch Burke in the gonads if they saw him....then Nonis would probably get one in the nose. That things huge. |

Judging by the last couple trades with the Ducks, I suspect Burke has some incriminating information on Murray, so maybe it's possible? |

Best # 2 center in the game?
Better than Malkin? Kesler? Pavelski? I don't think so pal. - Scooby_Doo
It seems like a pretty equal deal. Both players are kind of in the dumps and need a kick in the pants to get restarted. Both have unmovable contracts. One team has desperate need for goaltending and the other, too many goalies. If this were to happen, it would be one of those trades that each fan base thought they got the raw deal, even thought it would make both teams better. |

I wish I could agree but almost everyone in front of us has gotten better...and we've stood pat.
I honestly see another bottom 6 finish for us. It won't be till the year after we find ourselves in the playoffs.
God I hope I'm wrong though. |

Hmm, very good point.
I think Montreal and Buffalo got better, Florida and New Jersey got worst....I'm not sure about Tampa Bay.
There's an outside chance we could squeak in. |
