I'm not sure how good of an asset Stan Bowman would be willing to throw in that deal. Maybe Frolik but I doubt any "very good" assets. - KingIndig0
Well then I guess no Carey Price. I was think a 1st rounder, Kane and Stalberg for Price |

5. PHI
6. BOS
7. WSH
8. TOR
NJ will fall apart. OTT wont get that same production out of karlsson and they lost solid role players. TOR makes the jump but gets murdered in 4 in first round.
BOS wont be the same without thomas. BUF will put everything together.
1. LA
2. STL
3. VAN
4. MIN
5. SJ
6. COL
7. DAL
8. DET
NSH will lose both suter and weber and wont be near the same team. LA will show up to play all year. MIN will finally get everything together. COL has gotten better and will be better with a healthy year from everyone and downie all year. DAL will have a solid top 6 and vet leadership all over the place. DET will sneak in with that much younger lineup. - boltsfan48
1. Tampa Bay is NOT going to get the 2 seed in the east. I'm sensing a little bit of bias there.
2. Do you really think that Detroit has a better chance at the playoffs than Chicago? Assuming the Hawks acquire a solid goalie, they should be very confident in making the playoffs. I'd say Detroit is in the same boat as Phoenix, and I wouldn't be totally shocked if Nashville or Calgary squeaked in to that last spot, considering how good Rinne and Kiprusoff are.

It'll all depend on if the Hawks can get Bernier, and if they don't how desperate Bowman is for a goalie. |

I'm a nashville fan and I hope they trade weber.
Just bc he/his agent creates more drama than a 16 yr old girl. |

And the Habs agree to trade Price because they have so much depth in the crease? |

you'd think tampa would be a dynasty team the way you talk them up
1 goal away from the finals to not making the playoffs and then a top contender with a pretty much rookie/young unproven for a long season goalie + adding carle and salo who is gtting older
tampa may make the playoffs but i dont see them winning the division - dmarsden2988
FLA got worse. garrison was amazing for them last yr. and everything clicked. reminded me a lot of the bolts in their run a few yrs ago. and theodore and clemmenson over performed they wont win the division.... WSH is going to be playing another whole new system and even tho people hate semin he still creates offense and hes been a SE division killer. we all hate him cuz he torches our division then disappears against everyone else. which will affect their interdivision play. Carolina got better but lost sutter too. and everyone will get to see if j staal is really a 2nd line center but they just dont have enough depth to compete for the division crown. and peg is in the same boat as carolina. they have some good players but its a bunch of rag tag guys. tampa has the best overall team and system thats why i have them winning the division.
1. Tampa
2. washington
3. FLA
4. WPG
5. CAR
should be how they end. and two, possibly three of the teams will make the playoffs. 4 if some teams really tank it. |

price is untouchable. no way he leaves the habs unless he wants out. considering he just signed a 6 year extension, he's not leaving any time soon.
and IF he does move, itll take a lot more than kane. a low 1st and stalberg does nothing. |

So how did Thomas waive his NTC long before trade day? It was reported on the same say.
Or was it just inside info you had and no one else?

In a kane/Price trade the hawks have to send a goalie back to MON.

What would the Kings trade???
Williams, Scuderi, Bernier, Richardson/King, 1st round pick in 2014??
FOR
Nash??
Top 6 forward (check)
Top 4 Dman (check)
Young goalie (check; if they want him)
Richardson/King....another roster player (center/winger)/prospect (check)
Draft pick (check)
Yeah I can see LA making a trade for Nash.......If they really were involved
(and dont tell me it would take 1 of Brown, Kopitar, Doughty, Quick, or Richards)
EDIT: I see Stoll involved as well... |

#1: Leafs won't get Getzlaf or Luongo. Correct!
#2: Reimer and Scrivens will provide adequet goaltending. Correct!
#3: Leafs will not have a meltdown at the end, but will start slowly and miss the playoffs. Incorrect!
#4: We won't be there, we will be in 15th place, out of the playoffs. Incorrect!!
I feel that my predictions are more realistic!!! - JohnnyReb
You get one third/second line center and the cups yours, eh? |

Not as awful as SJ's offer. SJ's offer would kill the team, LA not so much.
Nash would replace Williams, Scuds is FA next year, Bernier is already gone, Ricahrdson is VERY replaceable and so is King.
It isnt that awful if you really take a look at who the Kings have as prospects. They are ranked top 10 in prospects and have plenty of cap space (again, better than SJ)
I think I would trade for Nash. |
