for me, they're way too unbalanced for them to sit on their hands...

pretty sure they're focused upon the center positon, plus, i really think that pegula and co. want one of nash, ryan or doan (in no particular order)

My real fear is that it is so obvious we need to make moves that some GM is going to fleece us for everything.

from the "something different" folder, Steve Ott says via twitter he's looking forward to wearing #9 here and that it was his old number before the NHL.

I think the fans are more desperate for a move than the organization. Im looking forward to a big move too, but again it has to be the right one, and Darcy is being patient just like Howson with Nash and Murray with Bobby Ryan. Darcy has had 2 solid drafts in a row (so far atleast). No need to gut the youth to bring in a flashy player. Theres a much bigger FA class next year. The question is are we 1 move away from being a serious contender. The debate could be made for both sides

Agreed.

I think we are set up to be very strong in the nearish future. How strong we are in the immediate future I think is entirely dependent on who shows up during the season.

Another season like last (injuries and underperformance) and we'll have another disappointing year.

We have a healthy year and have a performance more in line with the second half of last year and we have the potential to do very well.

Regardless I think we have a very strong lineup for the future. A lot of talented young kids in all the right positions.
