Lindy wanted to keep all the letters on guys that have been drafted and developed here.
- Homer

So Lindy wanted the guys who he has beaten down over the years, who lack backbone, who have been isolated on one team with one coach and have no outside reference to lead this team? Brilliant

2 things...

1) what's happening with Ennis being signed

2) what would it take to get Cal Clutterbuck from the Wild. Love the way he plays

I've been going to the Development Camps for about 5 years. It's awesome. Even if you can not make the blue vs gold game, to a different day. It's amazing to see how some prospects are just cut and dry better than the rest.

Like the rest of you , I need some good Sabres news!! ughhhh ADD and patience don't mix!!

Well.. he has what we need it grittyness plus he can pot 20+ goals... And he plaulys for a team that meeds defense and that is what we have an abundance of...

It only makes sense.. both teams would see a gain from the trade... And stewart is an rfa so we can pay him what we want n not some stupid contract made by another team.

Nash>ryan>stewart>stastny

- JVince11

what makes you think stewart is going to score 20+ goals?

opinions vary.

Pominville had a great season. He's just not captain material. Atleast not in my book

That's a tough debate, but I agree I would rather have a tougher, sheriff type of Captain, but the other side is Crosby, Sedin, Koivu, Thornton etc.. as skill guys that don't lead by toughness but are good captains.

I lean on the side of tougher vets, but let's wait to see the end of year 2 before we really judge.

I think he could raise a cup someday and I hope it's in Buffalo.

Agreed.

He is NOT captain material. His skills are great, but there's no fire in him. He's not a leader by any means.

I like Pommer a lot but my favorite captain in the league is Shane Doan and some lucky team is about to get his services.

Pominville doesn't fall in either camp. He's not tough, He's not fiery, He's not vocal. On the flip side, he has nowhere near the talent of a Crosby or the like.

I'm not saying a great captain needs to be one or the other. There is just an intangible quality that great leaders have. Pommer doesn't have it. That's not a knock on him as a player. He's been pretty reliable. He's very good. Not great

I inquired about Arnott....some guys in the brain trust like him, others think he is too slow. I think Darcy is on the too slow side, but not 100% sure.
- Homer

Arnott to Buffalo makes sense to me.. since the roster has 0 cup winners.

I agree with you. He doesn't do anything wrong off the ice, but he's far from the ideal captain. We need more leadership and character period.
