There's a lot of Kane haters but I honestly wouldn't mind him here at all. The toughness factor is the only thing that concerns me but with the trades the Sabres have made I think we'll be alright in that department. My thoughts are it would be adding another Pominville to the roster, maybe a little better version. Would that be a bad thing?

Well EK is reporting Montreal is in talks with the Hawks for a top 6 forward. It would have to be Kane, right? Not that what EK says means much, but just sayin.

Not only does he come with character issues...
But we need to get bigger up front
Even though he's talented,
I don't think he's what this team needs
If we can't find a "physical" forward,
We are prob better off going after Semin, since he won't cost anything other than the contract we give him

Where have the Sabres actually gotten tougher?
Ott pretty much replaces Gaustad
None of the other guy we signed (pardy, scott) will play more than 20 games unless we have a ton of injuries

Kane is extremely skilled, no denying that...
But we reportedly just got rid of Roy because of his character flaws...
Let's not bring another head case in here...

Plus, what are we giving up to get him?

I would love a guy like Semin. For all the hate he gets on being lazy he has a phenomenal +65 for his career. Granted he played on high scoring Caps teams, but he couldn't have been too much of a defensive liability.

I'm totally on board for poaching S. Weber. Even if it meant trading Ennis, Stafford, Sekera, Leopold +2 1st round picks. Go ahead and blast me for giving up so much for 1 D man, but S. Weber is without a doubt a top 2 in the league. Pair him with Myers and you have the absolute best D pairing in the NHL for years to come. And honestly, I don't think it would hurt our offensive production with that kind of stability on the back end.

I wouldnt trade anything more than a forward like stafford and a defender like sekera or pysyk/brennan for kane...

If it meant losing a center than id say no..
