Even though that team would be impossible to build because you'd have to give up a lot to get Iggy, Ryan and Weber, I would still think that team is not a Cup contender. Throw Crosby or Malkin in there, plus another top dman then I'd say they would win the cup. |

Wouldnt mind the Iggy idea and we can easy trade for him and not lose anyone really. The trade would be Gerbe and maybe either Adam or another Prospect from Roch. Thus I have the lines looking like.
Vanek-Hod-Pom
Fol-Ennis-Staf
Ott-Leino-Iggy (Ott or Lenio Filling the center spot.)
Kaleta-Porter-Mcck (Scott) |

I dont know if they do it for gerbe, but foligno would get him. He still has 2-3 years left |

forgot leino. oops - Sabres2012CUP
Not hard to do. But like you said the other day, he might suprise some people. I highly doubt we can be as bad as we were last year all the way around. |

Iginla would take more than that, hodgson, roster player and a 1st at the very least. |

Doan to the Kings is the best chance LA has to take a run at a repeat. Especially if he and Brown end up on a line together..
Brown-Kopitar-Doan
Gagne-Richards-Carter
Penner-Stoll-Williams
King-Fraser-Nolan
That's a scary group. - bluecoconuts
Hm, I was thinking more along the lines of Penner-Stoll-Doan. |

Probably. But that is not a wise choice. PHX isnt winning the Cup and neither is SJ.
EDIT: my dream LA team is with Carter and Richards - LA_Kings6720
SJ MAYBE

Don't know why everyone is peeing their pants over this guy, on any NHL team he PERHAPS is 2nd line, but thats like on the Islanders or somewhere like that |

So I'm watching the NHL network.....and Logan Couture says during a commercial that he's a big Sabres fan.....loved Hasek, LaFontaine and Curtis Brown. What does this mean....nothing much just found it interesting fodder on a boring Saturday in the NHL. |

Doan Deal?
June 27, 2012 - 11:59 AM ET
I'm not going to lie about it. I'm an unabashed Shane Doan fan. Always have been. Always will be. The guy is the embodiment of all the things you want to see in a great hockey player: he plays an honest game, works his ass off is practice and in games, is a leader of men, is as tough as leather, wil...
At least change the title if you're going to put the exact same thing. - AdamFrench

Trying to be funny? Doan is a really good player. He's the only guy on PHX that gave me the sweats during the WCF. |

"Derek Roy, top shelf where mama hides the cookies"
Like Jagr (obviously a lot better), I have never seen this guy play in person. Looking forward to it. Too bad it wasnt 2-3 years ago. Glad he isnt on ANA but too bad for you guys, it would have been Bobby Ryan coming back. |
