What Dreger, Bob Mac and the Ten boys suggested was
Luongo for Bozak, Franson/Gunnersson and Percy/Ashton. |

The leafs main problems last year were a slow transition defense and a lack of goaltending. I have no problem with the leafs offense standing pat, even without that first line center if we upgrade the goaltending (and Luongo is a HUGE upgrade no matter how much you hate the guy or think he sucks). Trading Schenn was trading the worst of the bad transition game defenders. Luongo would definitely be my next priority if i'm Burke, and as long as i'm not trading away a top 6 forward or top 4 defender, you have to do that deal.
Go get em' Burkie. - jerseyleaf

"need help selling tickets"........ No sh)t, the florida arena was always empty and I am pretty sure that toronto and Vancouver who profit share the most are sick and tired supporting these southern teams. - classic321
You think Vancouver profit shares the most?
Montreal, New York, and Philly all dwarf the Canucks in revenues and profit sharing. |

Seriously don't understand why people are so stupid. Reimer has a lot of potential still. Did L.A kick Quick under the bus when they were rebuilding?
Things that Leaf fans can't grasp:
-It takes years to become a starting goalie in this league.
-WE ARE STILL IN A REBUILD
-We do not have any blue chip prospects aside from Gardiner and maybe Rielly
-We need to draft our own franchise 1C and not trade the farm so we cancompete further into the playoffs and not make a first round exit
-WE ARE STILL IN A REBUILD
-LuLOLOLongo is not the answer with his incredibly stupid contract and his age
-Scrivens and Reimer will be our starters next year and from that we will gather who between them will be our starter
-WE ARE STILL IN A REBUILD |

I would assume Leafs want to keep either one of Gunnerson or Percy |

Nicely done. I'm actually astounded at the degree to which Leaf fans have given up on Reimer. |

I'm sure Gillis has already been offered more than that from Burkie. If I'm Gillis, I hang up and continue talking with Florida and Chicago and just use Chicago to drive up the price from Florida as much as I can. - Nucker101
Awwwwwwwwww you're a cutie. You guys aren't going to get much of anything back for Lu. But keep your head up.
And if poop hits the fan you can always just riot and get your passive aggressive anger out. |

Both teams fill needs. Toronto gets a #1 goalie. Van gets a #3 center who is solid enough to somewhat be #2 until Kesler is healthy, a 5/6 d man and a solid prospect. |

I agree with the bolded, not too familiar with the prospects but I would definitely prefer Gunnarson if given a choice even though most Canuck fans would probably want Franson for obvious reasons. |

This blog was very insightful. It basically says the same thing that you reposted so many times in the past weeks and by other bloggers that basically you just restructured your words and sentences in a different way..... nice one i thought sources and rumours were suppose to progress as time goes on or get a good piece of the puzzle to complete the story....
Its the same 3 teams in the mix of chicago, florida, and toronto. Thats the main story. He wont go to chicago since they are both in the west and are rivals no matter what chicago gives them return. Toronto and florida are both in the east so i doubt the nucks will care trading to either of them even if its toronto and burke and gillis are not the greatest for making trades with one another(could be a start now). Its down to florida or toronto in the end, hopefully it ends soon and gillis accepts an offer from either toronto or florida. |

Agreed. Personally I would take Gunnersson over Franson in a heartbeat. Lets assume that it is A little stronger prospect with Franson then it is with Gunner |

Mason Raymond and Luongo for Nash could be just what the doctor ordered for both teams. - dasnut
Lou will never waive for Columbus. Probably for the same reason he'd never waive for Toronto (IMO).
Can you imagine that phone call from Gillis? Hey Lou I have a trade for you and that abomination of a bird dance or whatever you're doing in that online vid...
...we want to send you to sunny COLUMBUS! Ya...that's gonna catch his attention.
It's no different if they tell you your going to Toronto or the Islanders. |

It's ridiculous man, it really is insane. I love James Reimer and I honestly think, with the right coaching and team in front of him, he can be our future starter. How many goalies can you call Optimus Reim?
Factor in Carlyles defensive system and who knows what can happen a few years down the road. For now we need to keep drafting and developing our own players and not trade for players that are three years away from being thirty. Why trade the farm for a player that will only give us six good years when we can draft our own FOR FREE and give us 12-15 great years? It mind boggles me how stupid people are. |

How long did it take L.A? I don't care how long it takes. I just want it to be done right. Trade assets when you actually can make a push for the cup not a playoff appearence and in turn a first round exit. |

Franson is decent but Gunner would improve your team tremendously. Then again, Franson could be the replacement for Salo's Right handed shot. Garrison can replace the overall shot. |
