Personally, the Panthers ownership has taken alot of bumps, would be hard for me to see them change direction so quickly....Only the retarded leafs brass does stupid poop like that. |

IDEA!
How about if you are a team like Toronto and Florida, KNOW THAT YOU HAVE THE UPPER HAND.
If Gillis doesn't drop the price, thats cool, lets watch the goaltending controversy of 2012-13! |

You flip-flopped it. Going into next year with Luongo will suck for us. But going into next year without a number one that will suck. Sorry Reimer, and Theodore are not number one goalies |

Mason Raymond and Luongo for Nash could be just what the doctor ordered for both teams. |

Vancouver is franked if they can't get rid of his contract! Imagine $6 million sitting on the bench! Burke please let him stay in Van! |

The leafs main problems last year were a slow transition defense and a lack of goaltending. I have no problem with the leafs offense standing pat, even without that first line center if we upgrade the goaltending (and Luongo is a HUGE upgrade no matter how much you hate the guy or think he sucks). Trading Schenn was trading the worst of the bad transition game defenders. Luongo would definitely be my next priority if i'm Burke, and as long as i'm not trading away a top 6 forward or top 4 defender, you have to do that deal.
Go get em' Burkie. |

Don't laugh it could come down to that and I am sure Canucks would even offer up Ballard if you wanted him. |

And I'm sure Howson would probably try and sneak in Steve Mason in the back door of that trade

Well, it would be the one place Luongo would have no pressure. Drunk bar fights get more attention than Columbus. |

I still think Florida is a lock. Just about the return at this pt...
And as much as I think Luongo is soft, and can't stop a beach ball low blocker side...this is going to make Florida a powerhouse and cause Vancouver to not win the division. He is better than Schneider, though this season will prove if that is still so. |

Every GM wants to maximize value, but he set the asking price way too high. Honestly the aforementioned trade is relatively fair for both sides. |

Yeah, no way Luongo accepts trade to this miserable mess of an organization here in Cbus. |

If the reason Burke is hesitent to make a deal that could really improve is that he is worried about how he will be seen - a hypocrite - then he should be fired immediately. His ego is not the no. 1 priority...then again, we're talking about Burke, so it often is. |
