Bozak kulamin for Lou - Fenyes
I'm saying Komisarek (Van has to take a bad contract back too), Bozak and a prospect (I'd float Kadri but if they want someone else they can have him) for Luongo and a prospect.
Really though I would give them any one of Bozak, Gunnarsson, Kulemin or Franson. Preferably Komisarek but at least Connolly. They can have virtually any prospect that they want, we'll just screw up their development anyway. I wouldn't give a first unless it was conditional on us making the playoffs or something and wouldn't give it as well as a prospect. |

Kassian - no way. He may be currently crap but Gillis has too much riding on him.
Connolly - nope. He is a throwaway. Total bust. |

Oh yeah and Luongo's contract is great, you should expect a salary dump for that contract.
I might go Bozak, 3rd and lombardi/connolly |

can semin sign already (with the devils ) -his agent said he is going to sign for a team in the NHL and i dont think he will go to the khl unless he gets 0 offers
can the ducks either come out and say they are not trading ryan or can they trade him to a team outside of the atlantic division
and whatever is going on with nash better happen soon
same thing with luongo
its been a boring as (frank) offseason |

The Admirals Dustin Tokarski would have something to say about being the best AHL goalie - TheFondler
tokarski's team was much better than scrivens. |
|
|
|
nash is not coming to vancouver
nobody wants ballard and raymond, stop including them in every deal
luongo is not getting an elite player back. good prospect/pick and a decent player with high salary
nash is not coming to toronto
nobody wants komisarek

In hockey its about stats dude. Maybe next year he'll take the Florida farm team to the calder cup. - Unholy_Forward
If you think it's all about stats for AHL goalies, or goalies in general, you are out to lunch.
Many of a GT's stats are a direct result of the team they play for, and the system the team employs.
By your logic, Brian Elliot is the best goalie in the NHL |

You may not recognize this but you have to pay for stars. I know... I know... it is new to you.
As for the term, Lou himself says he will only play 4 to 5 years.
5.6 annual hit on the cap. You actually think that is too much? |

whoa... nice.
But if the TO new owners want some playoff revenue.... you need to invest in a goalie. 5.6 million annually in a 70 million cap is really nothing anymore.
If Lou gets you 15 more points a year, thats at least 2 playoff dates which easily covers any investment. |

then why hasnt luongo been traded yet? no one wants that contract unless gillis is taking a bad one back. leafs can obviously afford it financially, but in a salary cap world, 5.6M for like 10 years is brutal. |

and if he does play for the full contract, are you personally going to take on the cap hit? there is no guarentee. nucks are getting a bad contract back if they are trading one, gms arent stupid, when is the last time you saw a bad contract traded and a bad one not going the other way? gomez deal is the last one i can remember. |

They have cap room so it doesn't really matter. Canucks owners are rich. I almost think gillis is setting the price too high so luongo adds teams to his list. Luongo would look like an idiot if he sat on the bench as a backup. Im pretty sure at that point he would go anywhere, and after the first 20 games in the season when burke realizes his goalies are poop, gillis will be in drivers seat - super6
LOL canucks fans are hilarious. even after luongo says he thinks his time is done in vancouver, you still think gillis has leverage.
i really wish i can have a decent conversation with a nucks fan to discuss the luongo situation, but it seems all of the ones here think gillis has the upper hand |

Gillis has no leverage. Quit being an a$s and saying fans thinki he does.
Gillis has time on this side. He does not need to move Lou until next season's trade deadline. It will not change the chances of making the playoff in the NW division and will not hurt the bottom line.
So what is your point? |
