Sharks are in big time on Nash trade talks aren't they?

Doug Wilson must be on his last gasp as GM. Every year he seems to make noteworthy changes but still falls short. Sad to see that team getting a half step slower and a year older each year. Their window has passed. I think this is what upsets most of us here. There's a window of opportunity that is slipping away because the GM overvalues his players, undervalues others, and suffers from analysis paralysis.

Supposedly they are in on Nash, but Wilson won't part with Couture. can't say that I blame him. Instead, Pavelski's name is discussed. Not sure what the Sharks have in the way of prospects. I think it's hilarious they falter every year. These fans are about as arrogant as yankee fans, but don't have the pedigree to back it up.

They are going to hire larry Robinson away from the Devils. Good pick up. I think Wilson is okay as GM, since he's been a perennial winner. This is definitely McClellan's last gasp tho

Luongo is NOT coming here...They aren't going to invest 5_ millon a year on a guy who backed his way into a gold medal. Think about it....All this guy does is wilt under pressure. The guy wasn't mentally strong enough to play road games against Chicago or Boston...Had his job taken by a backup....Why would the Hawks even entertain this? Never will happen....

Nash would be nice, but you aren't getting Nash and keeping Bolland, Kane, Sharp, Hossa....So if you want Nash, subtract at least 1 from that group.

I'd love to get Doan but I don't see it panning out. Fact is this very well could be the same team that takes the ice opening night, with a rookie here or there.

So if you get Nash and subtract one of your group (and I agree with you) - what have you accomplished - haven't solved any problems, haven't plugged any holes.

It's not just "a rookie here or there", it will be relying on players in several places who haven't yet really shown that they can handle the responsibility. Can you be sure of what you're going to get from: Frolik, Shaw, Stalberg, Smith, Leddy - even Kruger (2C? 3C?)? Or Olsen, Hayes, Saad?

Not one proven NHL-ready contributer in the bunch - some potential, but not realization.

According to Shane Doan's agent, Terry Bross, the #Blackhawks have shown interest in the veteran free-agent forward.

Jessie Rogers is schmuck. I am not sure he even watches hockey.

Schneider isn't your typical backup.

It's not like Ray Emery taking over for your supposedly stud goalie...oh wait a second...crickets.

There is NO grantee LA will experience a 'hangover factor'
Vancouver will be better "IF" Kesler doesn't recover. Wonder why no mention "IF" Hossa doesn't recover?
St. Louis a fluke? Why is that? They have always had talent, last year their young team stayed fairly healthy. St.Louis is surely no fluke, that team is loaded.

How is Vancouver better they are loosing their starting goalie.
