Why did Weber get a stern talking to and Torres get 25 games? Different standards for different players. It has always been that way, especially under Bettman. - NewToHockey
Ahh but don't forget, Gary felt bad about the Torres suspension so he superseded Shanahan and shortened it to 21 games. |

I'm a big Crawford fan, but the problem is that he's had one great season and one poor season which leaves us speculating about next season. With Luongo in net we'd know that the goaltending situation is secure. Crawford could be awesome (or Crawesome) next season but we just don't know.
The only down side to getting Luongo is the length of his contract and what it would cost to get him. I have not problem giving up prospects (aside from Saad and this years 1st round pick) and some lower end players (ie Bickell). But I know some salary would have to back so Frolik would likely have to go, unless Crawford goes to Vancouver. - DarthKane
Sorry, we were talking about Bernier from the Kings. Does trading a roster player, prospect and high draft pick for Bernier make you a better enough team to warrant the risk that Bernier may be no better than Crawford. |

What? Stastny vs. Burrows? When has Burrows carried a whole team on his shoulders?

The legitimate Italian community or the mafia? Actually, both flourish here. - NewToHockey
Yeah, it was sarcasm. Italians and Chicago kind of go hand in hand. |

The way contracts are being offered out this year Doan will probably cost 6.5/3 yr
He is a great player but that is a lot to pay out for 36 year old. - VANTEL
I'd be happy to see Philly get him for that - opens up so many more possibilities. I just don't think he will go to Philly.

In all seriousness, I don't think anyone, even Canucks fans would say that Burrows is a better player than Stastny, only that if you take current $ into consideration Burrows is a better value, we'll see when Burrows gets his extension if the same can be said. |

Wobbler from the high slot, it's a tough shot to judge. I remember Crawford being excellent in that series. |

No matter how you spin it that shot should be stopped 10 outta 10 times period. |

If he was younger I can see Detroit overpaying. I think Doan will sign with the team which he thinks is close to winning the Cup which may knock the Hawks out of the running unless SB can upgrade the talent. - jhawk159
If that is the case, he will go to LA then. |

Ok, so not happy with Crawford moving forward, you are now officially on the record as believing that Lu is an upgrade for you, what about other options? Would you be happy if the Hawks traded for Bernier from LA instead? |

Agreed. Bernier isn't worth the risk and I'd rather stick with Crawford. If Stan could get Bernier at a good price and keep Crawford then I'd be interested in that. |

Yeah, we always get to Johnny's really early to get front row seats. I have never felt unsafe outside there. Not the best side of town, but it's really in a quiet location away from everything else. I never really see anyone outside there who isn't there to go to Johnny's, and you can park right in front usually. Just my take on it.
I am also really looking forward to seeing TT and the goalies.
- BDT36
Indeed, if you don't get there real early it's not worth going as your 2-3 deep trying to see.
I went once by myself and it was last minute. Parking was full so I had to park a few blocks down on a Saturday afternoon. No biggie for me but I wouldn't really want to park that far away if I had my wife or kid with me.
But to restate, if you are there early enough you will park pretty close. If your late you won't, and IMO I wouldn't want to walk with a kid that far in that hood.
Didn't see any coppers by the way.

Hammer could go...with oduya and Leddy on 2nd pair and tha addition of brookbank the 5mill of space that hammer and fro have would offset lu's cap hit leaving roughly 8 mill for doan and any one else - southernhawk
Rather keep Hammer. Seabrook, Keith, Oduya and Leddy as top 4 doesn´t sound that good(even with Luongo). Hammer can play solid d with blocking shots etc. and pk.. I think he brings something that we can´t give away just like that, at least if don´t get player like Suter. Which we didn´t. |

100% Agree Luongo is in a different league than Crawford ....but his contract in crap...bernier is a unknown ...i would rather have Lu...he IS a NHL starter and a upgrade over Crawford and Bernier |
