Sometimes it felt like the building was shaking too. I remember a game 7 against the North Stars that was probably the loudest that I've heard.

When did the cheering through the National Anthem start by the way? They debate this on the Score every once in a while. I've always said it started in 1985 in game 3 of the conference finals against the Oilers. After the Oilers blew the Hawks out in games 1 and 2 the Canadian press was saying the Hawks didn't even belong in the series and were very critical. I remember the Hawks got a standing O' when they came out and after the Canadian Anthem was played the place exploded. Was that the first time or do you remember it happening before that game?

had season tix starting in '80, always remember cheering during anthem.
also big hair women, garbage cans rolled down stairs, women flashing the crowd, brawls in the stands, roof leaking, smoking in my seat, bench clearing brawls during and before games, etc. great times!

Tell me, I collect old black and white pictures of buildings and places that mean something to me. I was never in the old Stadium but always wanted to see a game there. Somebody was kind enough to give me a photo taken inside at the All Star Game. Do you know where in the city would you go to get a black and white of the Stadium taken from the street?

With Sharp's NTC clause now in effect, I really doubt he's on the move.

I've been to every Canadian rink except (Winnipeg) and used to go often to the Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo. I was fortunate to see the great 80s Oilers while I was forging my young career in Edmonton. Tickets were like 12$ for lower bowl seats back then. I can barely get a beer for that price in Vancouver now.

A game in Chicago is on my bucket list.
