Especially to put him in a package deal makes no sense. Winning teams have Marcus Foligno type players. Will he be on the 2nd line his whole career, probably not. Considering how feminine our lineup was last year, im not interested in just giving him away

Fact is, trade wennis and foligno if you can get Ryan or Stasney. Neither of them will ever amount to an All Star.

You people are silly. Ryan and Stasney are so much better then Ennis and Foligno it is silly to tyalk about it. If Darcy could get Bobby Ryan for Ennis and Foligno and he passed it up, I would bend him over my computer desk..

And IMHO, whoever gets the best player wins the trade. And Right now neither Ennis or FOligno are top 6 players. Ennis was for about 15 games last year, that's not enough!

I really dont think he's much better than Derek Roy. I dont get it though. Statsny was apparently not as good lately because he had poor linemates. So he didnt make Colorado's wingers much better but he is supposed to make ours dynamite?? I just think he is over rated

Overrated? Noone thinks he is Wayne Gretzky Bro. He is better than Roy. He is a true playmaker who has had 50 assists in 1 season. Look at his career. He would be the best center-man in Buffalo since Briere left town.

Disagree everybody keeps comparing him to Roy they aren't even the same type of player. Roy wouldn't harm a fly and Stastny will go to the tough areas of the ice, he is missing a tooth and has a hell of a lot more heart than Roy!

Ok I just don't get the Vanek love affair. I'm not saying trade for Stasny but all this Vanek is great talk. Really? I mean what is Vanek? He's to slow to be a speedy forward and to soft to be a power forward. His D is very suspect so he's not a defensive forward. Is he clutch? Nope. Is he a leader? Nope. Is he a game changer? not really. And on top of that he can't pass. He does have decent shooting hands but that's about it. For that he eats up a ton of cap space. Is he overpaid? Hell yeah. Him and Pommers should have the same contract. Just my two thoughts. Flame away!!!

Vanek is all of the above except I think hes a little better at passing then you are giving him credit for. I also think he should be around $5M AAV, but Edmonton is the one who gave him that ridiculous contract, cant blame Darcy. I only blame Darcy for matching it.

I didn't say for Ennis and Foligno, I have both of their jerseys buddy and Stastny is not overrated he also is an olympian with a ton of heart, there is more to hockey than just points hence the Roy for Ott deal.

When is Ennis going to sign his contract? He got qualified and isnt going to arbitration.

for Stastny I'd give up Adam,Sekera and Armia.

Vanek/JP/Miller have been the most valuable players to the sabres since Drury/Briere. We never gave them a top line center which has resulted in Vanek progressively getting worse.

I would do Vanek for Ryan. I would not do Vanek for Stastny.
