I think if that was the Canuck's proposal Burke would look at it and say can I get as good goaltending in the next five or six years elsewhere and keep those guys, and he hates long deals. The Leafs are all set up to have contracts all expiring in the next three years, he's all about cap flexibility long term at this point. I'd be really surprised if they make a deal.

CKNW is not the station that holds the Canucks rights. They used to but lost them some years ago to Team1040.

This was coop for CKNW big time. Anyone is th Vancouver market knows there two stations hate each other.

So it behooves (nice 3 dollar word huh) me to think that CKNW would not go for broke and ask.... but then again... maybe they got the interview BASED on Luongo wanting to get the word out opublically that he prefers Florida.
