In my opinion it is actually a mistake on the show's part not to ask him about it, or for some reason it was agreed not to talk about it. Because it IS part of the story, a big part of the story. He asks a softball question about Toronto, and their web hits probably double.

That's funny since I have been bringing up Backstroms name for awhile. He only has one year left on his deal, and still has some left in the tank. Only thing that would worry me is he's coming from a much more defensive minded team than the Leafs have been in recent years. I'd probably rather take the gamble on him than Luongo, even though Luongo is better at this point.

But Backstrom would probably cost more in trade. Harding has an atrocious win-loss record. The Wild can't be comfortable handing him the job full time without proving himself a little more.

Lu is a great goalie at an alltime low is trade cost. Seems like a good place to start if you want a playoff team.

I wonder if there is a provision in the CBA where teams can trade 1st round picks to each other with one of the teams having the option to take or refuse th edeal depending on the positions in the draft.
