Im sure you know the value and importance of 1st round picks, but to not give one up for an elite goalie when your team has been a disgrace for years is foolish.

As valuable as 1st rounders are, probably 30% of them ever become impact players. Valuable as they may be, there is a lot of risk and luck involved as well.

Its idiotic to trade 1sts for guys like Toskala, but it's not a horrible move for an elite player, that could end your teams shameful demise.

Its not about just making the playoffs. Luongo is a piece of the puzzle that can compete for a cup. But without an elite goalie of his level, its never going to happen.

So yea, we all want the cup, thanks tips. But sadly, Luongo is this teams best chance to getting anywhere remotely close to it.

We've been trying to develop or find a goalie since the lockout man, and its been our downfall for almost 10 years now. And the solution for some fans is to pass on Luongo? Im speechless.
