I'm also not as concerned about that pick. It certainly wouldn't be in the top 10.

Plus, you also have to wonder how much we'd get for Reimer on the market

- AngryWhiteMale

I don't think they'd get much for him to be honest. Once he leafs the leaves he'll do better than he's shown. Some place with a defensive system and better than mediocre players in front of him..not to mention the scrutiny.

We get Luongoal that 1st pick is basically a 28th overall. The Leafs will need to "learn to lose" before they start winning. Which is the stupidest (frank)ing thing we hear when a young team gets beat out every year. You can't learn to win...you just have to have a better team. (frank)ing stupid cock faces.

So if that supposed Luongo deal does go down, then what's BB's next move?

Does he still trowel the market for a centreman?

Would Stats still be an option?

Problem is if he plays poorly and we bury him in the minors on Friday... he'd only just rise on a Monday.

He better lottery protect that poop!

I think if he did that nobody would be drooling over that pic. Leaf's picks have been gold recently. He protects it, all of sudden it's silver. Mind you silver is still going fairly strong.

I don't think it boils down to the system so much as a full off season to get healthy and re-coup.

He'll be fine

With Luongo I see the Leafs picking anywhere from 7-18. So they get the pick anyways, but the Leafs add that little bit of security to ensure they dont pass another Seguin calibre player up.

You know what the tragedy is here, Bob? We could have been friends. But you wouldn't go through proper channels. You went over my head. That hurt... But life goes on, it's an old story, the fight for love and glory, huh Bob? It helps if you think of it as a game, Bob. Every game has a winner and a loser...

I'm cashing you out, Bob.

Considering how comparable he is in production to Derek Roy, and what it cost DAL to acquire him, I can't imagine Stats being too pricey.

Probably somewhere in the market of:

Reimer(Not sure if they'd want him though)
Mac
2nd

Let's put it this way. Considering how big a factor goaltending has been in keeping us out of the playoffs post-lockout, if we get Luongo in net for 60 games a season, we're guaranteed to make the playoffs

I remember when I was a young executive for this company. I used to call the old man funny names. "Iron Butt." "Boner." Once I even called him..."bumhole." But there was always respect. I always knew where the line was drawn. And you just stepped over it, buddy-boy. You've insulted me.

Considering he makes almost 7 million and his production of late are comparible to Bozak and Grabovski. Its a big no. A BIG no.

H-hey, now wait a second. Now wait a minute... you're taking this kind of personally, aren't you? Come on now, man, you're making me nervous. Come on, you can't do this! Don't mess around! Hey! Hey! Hey, man, now don't get cute!

Can't be giving up any more 1st round picks. A pick in the 10-20 range can still be successful, even more so in next years draft.

For Luongo, you have to. Its the only solution to the goaltending. If there were other options, fine, but there are none. The lone exception....MIGHT be Backstrom, but I dont see the Wild giving him up. After the money the spent, they cant put the whole season on Hardings unproven shoulders to give them solid goaltending. Cap space might force the issue, but they should have lots of it even after signings.

Whaaaa?? No... no you don't? If that's what they want? Then say no? Its pretty easy, this team will manage with Riemer or Scrivens.
