Bobby Ryan is a franchise player. Why would the Ducks want to trade him. He is younger and has more upside then anyone outside of Karlson on the entire Senators team. If they trade Bobby Ryan for prospects and spare parts it would set them back 4 or 5 years.

There is a part of me that just doesn't think Turris will be dealt from here any time soon. We've waited so long for a complimentary center to Spezza, I just can't see it happen not a year after we seemingly found him.

Turris right now is untouchable. The Sens have never had depth down the middle, the deepest they ever were was Spezza-Vermette-Fisher, and look what happened after they lost that depth...quickly went from SCF to also-ran.

With a handful of talented wing prospects coming through the system soon, Anaheim wants to use one of it's established star wingers to acquire a higher-end 2LC and shore up their defense. If Ottawa dealt any of their appealing assets at those positions, then they would be the ones trying to fill those holes. Just not a match at all. Ott can offer fwd/goaltending prospects, a mid-tier forward, and picks, not what the ducks want.

They're not, at least on Anaheim's end. Burke always asks about Getzlaf and Holmgren always asks about Ryan. The only reason this comes up is Bobby got his panties in a bunch about it this time. The only time Murray's publicly said anything about trading anyone is when he put the whole team on notice last year, except for Teemu and Saku who had no trade clauses.

The ducks have to atleast see if either Getzlaf and Perry are willing to entertain the thought of signing an extension. If neither of them is will to atleast entertain the thought, then there is nothing wrong with shopping them around.

With what Parise just got, there might be a couple of teams willing to over pay for either of them. If they aren't willing to sign you might as well get something for them. Neither of them has a NTC so they could get a kings ransom for both of them.

Of course this is a based on the fact if neither of them are even willing to entertain the thought of an extension.

So do I, but when people talk about how bad the Kessel trade was, they act like Burke traded for a bust. This kid is a stud, obviously in hindsight it looks like we overpayed. Seguin is going to be a franchise center, and I think those are more valuable than a franchise winger. But either way, the amount of hate Kessel gets from fans and media is unfair. I am happy we have Kessel, we just need to give him that number 1 center, and he will put even better numbers. Think about it, 82 points without a number 1 center?
